After an 'unedited' photo of Khloe Kardashian emerged over the weekend, people had a lot to say, including, the loudest of them all, Piers Morgan...
Who is claiming the "scam has been blown".
Here's the full story...
Now, out of the Kardashian sisters, there was always somewhat of an odd one out.
Some have even speculated about Khloe's parentage... but that's a whole other story!
via: GettyEither way, over the years, Khloe has moved away from her more unique look, and has started looking more and more... well, Kardashian-esque.
Coming from a family with a bunch of sisters who look like this seems like the perfect recipe to breed insecurity. Put media speculation and social media pressures on top of that, and we can't imagine that things have been too easy for Khloe.
But, over the years, people have noticed something.
It almost seems as though Khloe isn't just trying to perfect her own look - it's like she's trying to emulate the appearances of her sisters, instead.
But the dramatic changes in her appearance have seen her at the center of controversy for a while...
Her weight-loss has been well documented on social media and on KUWTK, but her online promotion of potentially harmful weight loss products didn't go unnoticed by her critics.
She's also had other accusations tossed her way.
Last year, Khloe was accused of having had a rhinoplasty. She denied going under the knife, reporting that her totally new nose shape was a result of cleverly applied make-up.
But it wasn't just the rhinoplasty...
Khloe appears to have gone for a lighter foundation shade, plus she went blonde for a while.
On top of this, she always seems to have has suspiciously smoothed skin and has even developed that signature Kardashian figure.
And the size of her lips has also caused a bit of a stir online...
Of course, many of the Kardashian sisters are famous for their enhanced pouts - but none more so than Kylie Jenner, who has even included lips as a part of her cosmetics line's branding.
But it seems as though Khloe is now giving her a run for her money!
Many fans claim they don't actually have a problem with the cosmetic work...
More so the lies some claim the social media star tells surrounding her cosmetic enhancements, trying to pass them off as just simple lifestyle changes.
Just like her sisters, she's well-known for favoring a selfie and a glamorous photoshoot, but some of the images she's been posting recently have garnered some less-than-favorable comments.
She's constantly being accused of photoshopping and tweaking her snaps...
Which, we must say, is very obvious in some.
And predictably, Khloe's Instagram gets a lot of attention because of this.
But no picture has received more attention than the one that surfaced over the weekend.
The photo, shared to Reddit, emerged appearing to show Khloe's natural body and face.
The photo shows Khloe stood in a leopard print bikini, with her hair tied back, in front of a pool.
The photo appears to be completely unedited.
It was swiftly deleted and despite circulating online, it is frequently removed.
As per the New York Post, Tracy Romulus, chief marketing officer for KKW Brands, said in a statement explaining the photo:
"The color edited photo was taken of Khloé during a private family gathering and posted to social media without permission by mistake by an assistant. Khloé looks beautiful but it is within the right of the copyright owner to not want an image not intended to be published taken down."
While legal representatives for Kris Jenner's mother Mary Jo, who reportedly snapped the picture, said in a statement:
"We are counsel for Mary Jo 'MJ' Shannon. Copies of a photograph, captured by our client, which captures her family member Khloé Kardashian in a private location (wearing a leopard print bikini), have been unlawfully posted online, without authorisation."
Of course, after seeing the picture, everyone's had an opinion.
Many have praised her appearance in the picture...
That picture Khloe Kardashian wants removed from the internet is the best pic I’ve seen of her in ages. She looks young and good. I really wish she could see that she looks wayyy better without all that photoshop.— Saint 👼🏽 (@saintsapph) April 6, 2021
Khloe Kardashian isreally taking legal action over that photo but that’s the BEST she’s looked to me in a long time. pic.twitter.com/RgejHAJjiV— Gossip Girl ✨☕️🤍 (@xoraveen) April 6, 2021
While others have criticized the move to have it removed...
My Twitter was locked today because I posted the forbidden unedited pic of Khloé Kardashian for the sake of a Reddit experiment. Amazing how the KJs can remove that photo from the internet but ch!ld p0rn still exists.— frankie jo (@obrittuary) April 6, 2021
The unedited bikini pic of Khloe Kardashian is in no way “bad” but it’s a stark reminder that social media is a complete lie. There’s a whole team surrounding that family that are completely in control of their social media’s & editing to an incredibly high standard, it’s sad.— Yas (@yas_jamilah) April 6, 2021
And now, someone else has had their say...
Piers Morgan, of course.
The outspoken journalist has hit out at the Kardashian clan deeming them as a "scam."
Writing in his column for MailOnline, Morgan said: "I didn't think there was anything left in the world of the Kardashians that could possibly shock me. But I was wrong."
"The photo of Khloé Kardashian in a leopard print bikini that's gone viral this week is truly jaw-dropping."
"No filters, no airbrushing, little make-up, hair scraped back in a ponytail - just a picture of how Ms Kardashian actually looks.
"By comparison to all her heavily enhanced, carefully-staged glamour publicity photos, her waistline is significantly less defined, her curves less dramatic and her skin not so impossibly smooth."
"It's Khloé unvarnished, flaws and all. And the photo was utterly horrifying," he continued.
"Not to me, I hasten to add. I thought she looked as refreshingly normal as I've ever seen any of the Kardashians. No, it was utterly horrifying to HER."
Morgan continued with his piece explaining that in the last three weeks, "Khloé has posted 12 photos of herself in bikinis on her Instagram."
All of which had "been substantially worked on to create a sense of aesthetic perfection."
"They're all attracted several million 'likes' from fans bowled over by how stunning she looks. Doubtless many will have pondered how they too could ever wish to look that perfect," he wrote.
"Of course, the answer is by faking it which is what all the Kardashians have been doing for years. But many of her fans didn't know that – until now."
And as his blows on the family continued, he said: "With one carelessly released genuine photo, the scam's been blown."
Morgan later moved on to discussing why the photo matters: "The reason the Khloé fakery matters is that so many impressionable young girls and woman strive to look like the way they think the Kardashians look, from recklessly starving themselves to get the same fake waists, to paying plastic surgeons to irreparably nip and tuck their faces.
"Or by using similar filters and photo-shopping to post equally unrealistic images of themselves online that they can never hope to match in real-life."
And as his piece came to a close, Morgan finished by adding: "It's frankly tragic to see how terrified Khloé Kardashian was by the thought people might know what she really looks like.Tragic for her, and for a society that increasingly values unreality over reality."
"How much inspiring it would be if Khloé stopped trying to ban people from using the photo - and instead, owned, embraced and celebrated it."
"Posting the picture again with the words: 'This is the real me and I want you all to see it because I love the way I am!' may not be as empowering to her bank balance, but it would be massively more honest and empowering to other women."
