Hale was subsequently shot dead at the scene by a nearby US Border Patrol official after opening fire.

Prior to the rampage, Hale had legally purchased seven guns.

They reportedly suffered from emotional problems.

Hale had hidden her gun purchases from her parents.

“She was under care, doctor’s care, for an emotional disorder,” Metropolitan Nashville Police Chief John Drake said.

“[The police] knew nothing about the treatment she was receiving.”

Hale’s gender identity has also been called into question when looking for a motive.

Hale used male pronouns and the name Aiden on some social media accounts.

Drake said, “There is some theory to that [being part of the motive]; we’re investigating all the leads.”

Hale gained access to the school by shooting through glass door panels.

And was seen on CCTV stalking the halls looking for victims.

Hale shot three 9-year-old pupils and three staffers.

The victims have been identified as Evelyn Dieckhaus, Hallie Scruggs, and Williams Kinney, as well as Mike Hill, 61, Cynthia Peak, 61, and Katherine Koonce, 60.

“We have a manifesto, we have some writings that we’re going over that pertain to this date, the actual incident,” Drake told reporters.

“We have a map drawn out of how this was all going to take place.”

After prior gun attacks, Joe Biden questioned: “When in God’s name are we going to stand up to the gun lobby?”

He said it was time to change the gun laws here in the U.S.

“Why are we willing to live with this carnage?” he added in a speech at the White House.

A question many other have also asked.

And now, bodycam footage from the incident has been released.

After police were called, Hale hid in an upstairs window and shot at officers.

This was where Hale was eventually gunned down by police.

Who have since shared bodycam footage of the moment.

Footage shows officers Rex Englebert and Michael Collazo stalking Hale.

They approach the atrium where Hale was hiding, calling “shots fired.”

The bodycam then shows officers rapidly firing.
