The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have shared a new photo of their eldest son, Prince George, to mark his 8th birthday today, July 22nd.
The picture was taken at their country home in Norfolk by Kate earlier this month and Geroge can be seen grinning directly at the camera as he sits on the hood of a Land Rover Defender.
This was a sweet nod to the late Duke of Edinburgh, as the Land Rover Defender was Prince Philip's favorite car.
According to Heart, Kensington Palace gave a statement yesterday that read: "The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are very pleased to share a new photograph of Prince George ahead of his eighth birthday tomorrow."
Fans flooded social media with comments wishing the young royal a Happy Birthday...
One royal fan wrote on Facebook: "A very very Happy Birthday to you Prince George. Quite the young Man now growing so fast. Have a day filled with fun and we hope you enjoy your very special day. We all love you."
While another commented: "Such a gorgeous smile. Happy 8th birthday Prince George, hope you have a wonderful fun day."
"Lovely photo bless him! So natural and full of cheekiness, Happy birthday sweet George," a third wrote.
Some even remarked how much he now looks like his father, Prince William.
"Oh my goodness look how much he resembles his Dad, and Grandmother... Happy Birthday young Prince!"
Philip sadly passed away at the age of ninety-nine on April 9th, with his funeral held at St George's Chapel in Windsor 8 days later.
William shared a photo of Philip in a touching tribute, where he could be seen driving 2-year-old George in a carriage back in 2015.
According to Hello magazine, he wrote at the time: "I will never take for granted the special memories my children will always have of their great-grandpa coming to collect them in his carriage and seeing for themselves his infectious sense of adventure as well as his mischievous sense of humor!"
George was last spotted when he stepped out with his parents for England's Euro 2020 finals, sporting a striped red and blue tie with a blazer. He became an instant meme with his enthusiastic cheering.

This week's annual birthday photos are, of course, a lot more casual than last week's business attire.
The royal couple usually spends their children's birthdays away from the public eye, but Kate has previously revealed a sweet tradition she loves to do for George, Charlotte, and Louis.
During a BBC holiday special, A Berry Royal Christmas, the mom of 3 told British baker Mary Berry: "I love making the cake. It's become a bit of a tradition that I stay up 'til midnight with ridiculous amounts of cake mix and icing and I make far too much. But I love it."
