Prince William and Kate Middleton Canceled After Fans Spot Sinister Detail in Christmas Photo | 22 Words

It has become an annual tradition for the royals to reveal which of their favorite photographs they have chosen for the cards they send out each Christmas...

But, this year, Prince William and Kate Middleton have somehow ruffled a few feathers with theirs.

The Cambridges released their annual Christmas photo yesterday, which has been the most up-to-date glimpse we've had of the little family yet.

Most people absolutely loved the family snap...

And noted how beautiful their family is growing up to be.

However, on the other hand...

One fan pointed out a slightly less savory detail and now, it's all anyone can notice. Here's the full story...

Now, this kind of attention isn't common for William and Kate...

Because, out of the many members of the British royal family, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are the firm favorites of the younger, more modern monarchy.

They have long been royal favorites.

Following their lavish, and highly documented royal wedding in 2011, Wills and Kate were thrown into the media spotlight, and we still can't get enough of them.

They met while studying at university.

William, who is the son of Prince Charles and second in line for the throne, met Kate at the University of St Andrew's in Scotland in 2001.

Though their relationship was on and off for years...

They clearly couldn't stay away from each other and amazingly so, their engagement was announced in 2010 - 9 years after they first met.

And, ever since, we have watched on as their own little family has grown.

In July 2013, Prince George Alexander Louis of Cambridge was born, becoming the third in line to the throne of Great Britain.

Kate emerged from St. Mary's hospital in London in a blue polka dot dress...

Something that many saw as a fitting tribute to Princess Diana, who wore a similar spotty attire herself some thirty-one years earlier.

Princess Charlotte followed shortly after.

Princess Charlotte Elizabeth Diana was born in May 2015, just under 2 years after her older brother.

The princess has actually made royal history.

Princess Charlotte became the first female royal to retain her claim to the throne, despite having a younger brother.

Before the Succession to the Crown Act 2013...

The birth of a son meant that he would leap over any older daughters in the line of succession.

Traditionally, Prince Louis would have overtaken Charlotte in the line to the throne.

But now that Princess Charlotte hasn't been ruled out by gender, Prince Louis remains fifth-in-line to the throne, while Charlotte is fourth-in-line behind her older brother, Prince George.

So, as you can see...

William and Kate truly are paving the path to a more modern monarchy.

I mean, we all remember the iconic pictures of Kate in her student fashion show.

Since becoming the Duchess, Kate's style has evolved into something unparalleled.

And, as for William, he has reflected his modern morals in the upbringing of his children.

Last year, he revealed his thoughts on the possibility of his children one day coming out as gay.

While speaking to young people at an LGBT youth charity in London last year, he said he would "fully support" his children if they came out as gay...

But admitted that he would "worry" about the added pressures they would face. "I wish we lived in a world where it's really normal and cool, but particularly for my family, and the position that we are in, that's the bit I am nervous about," he said, as per the BBC.

Anyway, the children are certainly growing up fast...

And they are really starting to develop their own unique characters and personalities.

It seems, as they've got older, the young royals have developed a passion for the environment...

And that's thanks in no small part to the slew of popular documentaries from David Attenborough.

The children are said to be huge fans...

And even featured in an adorable video asking the naturalist some questions about animals and extinction.

But now, as Christmas draws closer...

We have had our latest glimpse at the adorable little family.

The Cambridge's released their annual Christmas photo yesterday...

And it's needless to say, people are loving the latest snap.

However, amongst the positive comments...

One Facebook user pointed out something a little less savory.

She wrote this:

"I find it a bit spooky that William always holds George and Kate always has Charlotte, and [sic] the poor Louis always floating around. Lovely family pics though."

Here's the picture in question.

Do you think her comment was warranted?
