Pelosi took part in an interview with Lesley Stahl on 60 Minutes this week...And she got visibly emotional when talking about the riots that went down in the Capitol last week and how she narrowly missed the conflict.
She firstly recalled the moment when she had to evacuate the Capitol."When the protestors who were making the assault on the Capitol, well, before they got to these doors, the Capitol police pulled me from the podium and I was concerned! I said, 'No, I want to be here' and they said, 'No, you have to leave, you must leave'," she explained.
"What happened was a terrible, terrible, violation of the Capitol by the president of the United States."Pelosi then showed the door that was broken down to gain access to her office, her private belongings, and ultimately, her staff who were terrorized by the rioters. "The staff went under the table, barricaded the door, turned out the lights, and were silent in the dark for 2 and a half hours as they listened to the rioters banging on the door," she explained.
Pelosi then said that it was clear that the riot was a "well-organized group with leadership, guidance, and direction.""They were vocally saying, 'Where's the Speaker? We know she has staff, we're going to find them.' The president said 'Go home!' but it was them who went on with his lies, his misrepresentations, his delusion that he won on a landslide in this election."

"We're gonna go down and storm the Capitol. They're down there right now and that's why we came and so that's what we are going to do. So wish me luck.
"We are going to f–king go in here. Life or death, it doesn't matter.
"Y'all know who to hire for your realtor. Jenna Ryan for your realtor."
