Queen Elizabeth Misses Remembrance Day Service

Queen Elizabeth was due to make her first appearance in weeks today at the Remembrance Day service, however she was unable to attend due to an injury,

Due to the Queen’s absence, the service was instead lead by Prime Minister Boris Johnson, and other members of the Royal Family.

It was due to be the Queen’s first public outing in weeks.

After doctors advised her to rest for ‘almost a month’ following medical checks in hospital.

Buckingham Palace confirmed the Queen’s absence with a statement.

The statement reads:
“The¬†Queen, having sprained her back, has decided this morning with great regret that she will not be able to attend today’s Remembrance Sunday service at the Cenotaph. Her Majesty is disappointed that she will miss the service.”

Concern for the Queen’s health has been growing over the past month.

With many taking to Twitter to express their concern and to offer their best wishes to the Queen.
