Rapper Gunna has recently been hospitalized for an unknown condition.

Akademiks, a Youtuber, and DJ posted the news via a post on his Instagram account, asking his 4.3 million followers for prayers for the rapper. The clip showed Gunna laying down watching E! Network television as he recovers from whatever's hospitalized him.

Details surrounding the cause of his health scare have not yet been released but fans are joking that it could be lean, whippets, or some kind of food poisoning that landed him in there.

"That lean catching up," commented one user.

"The skinny jeans suffocated his legs," joked another.

Gunna is well known for his hits "Drip Too Hard" and "Ski." He's also known for his collaborations with other prominent rappers like Lil Baby and Young Thug. Last May, he dropped his sophomore studio album Wunna, which debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200. The album features the likes of Thugger, Nechie, Lil Baby, Roddy Ricch, and Travis Scott.

The rapper then followed it up with a deluxe version which reportedly sold over one million copies since its release in July 2020 and already added to his extensive features list with a few more names such as Yak Gotti, Future, Nav and Lil Uzi Vert.

Akademiks later gave us an update on Gunna's health with another short video, writing: "#Gunna still recovering in the hospital," but the comments had been limited on that post. Whatever looks to be the problem has grounded the twenty-eight-year-old rapper for a little while, but hopefully not for much longer.

We wish him a speedy recovery.
