‘RHOA’ Star Nene Leakes 23-Year-old Son Brentt Suffers Heart Attack and Stroke

The son of Nene Leakes, star of Real Housewives of Atlanta, has suffered a stroke and heart attack at the age of just twenty-three years old.

In the show, she married Greg Leakes for the second time.

Sadly, Greg passed away in 2021 after suffering recurring colon cancer.

He was rushed to a hospital in Atlanta.

TMZ reports that the star’s son suffered a heart attack and a stroke.

Brentt was a common fixture in The Real Housewives of Atlanta alongside his mom.

The twenty-three-year-old also runs a lounge in Atlanta, which his mom says is his “pride and joy.”

It was reported that Brentt was in the hospital for several days.

He has now been released and people are hoping he will make a full recovery.

The news broke before Leakes could address the situation, but she has now shared a video on her Instagram, discussing it.

She begins: “Obviously I’ve gotten tonnes of text messages, tonnes of emails, everybody’s asking and concerned about Brentt, and we thank you guys so much.”

“This is not the way I wanted it to come out, we wanted to be able to talk about it ourselves when Brent was in a better place,” she says.

She goes on to confirm that her son had both congestive heart failure and a stroke.

Leakes says that doctors were initially concerned that the cause came from drug use or a serious infection because of Brentt’s young age.

However, the star says her son doesn’t drink or do drugs, and that the doctors have tested him for everything, including HIV.

She also explains that Brentt is still struggling with his speech in the wake of his illness.

The video ends with Leakes asking fans to keep the family in their prayers.
