The son of Nene Leakes, star of Real Housewives of Atlanta, has suffered a stroke and heart attack at the age of just twenty-three years old.
It has been reported that the star’s son, Brentt, is lucky to be alive after being rushed to hospital.

Nene Leakes is one of the biggest names to come out of The Real Housewives fame.
She starred in The Real Housewives of Atlanta from its very first season.
Leakes remained a member of the main cast up until season 7.
She then featured part-time in season 8, and returned fully in season ten until season twelve.

The show first began in Orange County.
The first season premiered in January 2006, starring people such as Jeana Keough and Vicki Gunvalson.
However, the franchise quickly grew to include a wide range of places.
After Orange County came New York, then Atlanta, and then things totally snowballed!
These days, there are eleven American installments.
Even more impressive though are the twenty-three international recreations of the premise!
The most recent embodiment of the franchise is The Real Housewives of Dubai.
The show has proven to be a big hit since it began airing in 2021.
Fans are truly loving it, with one saying: “I ain’t gon’ hold you, Real Housewives of Dubai has had an amazing first season.”
They continued: “The looks are fierce, the storylines are interesting, Ayan throws the best shade. I’m a fan.”
Some big names have come from the show’s various franchises.
One of the most well-known is Yolanda Hadid, mom to supermodels Gigi and Bella, who starred in The Real Housewives of Beverley Hills.
However, one of the other big names to come from the franchise is none other than Nene Leakes.
Aside from her rumored $14 million net worth, the star has gone on to feature in a tonne of other shows.
Leakes has been in everything from Glee to the new Dynasty.
She has over an impressive 100 credits in a variety of shows on her IMDb page.
Leakes even made her Broadway debut in 2015!
The star played Madame in Rodgers + Hammerstein’s Cinderella, before going on to star as Matron ‘Mama’ Morton in Chicago a year later.
So, Leakes is by far one of the standout stars from The Real Housewives of Atlanta.
She even had her own spin-off show in 2013 called I Dream of NeNe: The Wedding.
In the show, she married Greg Leakes for the second time.
Sadly, Greg passed away in 2021 after suffering recurring colon cancer.
And now tragedy has struck Leakes’ life again.
But this time it concerns her son, Brentt.
He was rushed to a hospital in Atlanta.
TMZ reports that the star’s son suffered a heart attack and a stroke.
Brentt was a common fixture in The Real Housewives of Atlanta alongside his mom.
The twenty-three-year-old also runs a lounge in Atlanta, which his mom says is his “pride and joy.”
It was reported that Brentt was in the hospital for several days.
He has now been released and people are hoping he will make a full recovery.
The news broke before Leakes could address the situation, but she has now shared a video on her Instagram, discussing it.
She begins: “Obviously I’ve gotten tonnes of text messages, tonnes of emails, everybody’s asking and concerned about Brentt, and we thank you guys so much.”
“This is not the way I wanted it to come out, we wanted to be able to talk about it ourselves when Brent was in a better place,” she says.
She goes on to confirm that her son had both congestive heart failure and a stroke.
Leakes says that doctors were initially concerned that the cause came from drug use or a serious infection because of Brentt’s young age.
However, the star says her son doesn’t drink or do drugs, and that the doctors have tested him for everything, including HIV.
She also explains that Brentt is still struggling with his speech in the wake of his illness.
The video ends with Leakes asking fans to keep the family in their prayers.
Fans and former co-stars have taken to Twitter to share their thoughts and prayers for the Leakes family.
Claudia Johnson, who features in The Real Housewives of Atlanta, tweeted: “Prayers up to Brentt and also to Nene Leakes. I don’t want anyone to feel that kind of pain and fear. Please send positive vibes to this family. They have been thru enough grief as of late.”
One fan said: “Let’s send some love and prayers to NeNe Leakes and her family.”
