Over the weekend, actor Ricky Schroder filmed an aggressive encounter with a Costco employee who wouldn't let him enter the California store without a face mask.
In the now-viral footage, the former child star launched into a bizarre rant with the store's manager...
And even encouraged his viewers to cancel their own Costco memberships.
Now, this comes after a groundbreaking vaccine update last week.
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) announced on Thursday last week that, for those who have been fully vaccinated against COVID-19, restrictions can now be eased.
According to their website, those who are fully vaccinated can do the following:
Activities conducted prior to the pandemic can be resumed, travel without quarantine can happen, and social distancing measures such as wearing face masks and staying 6 feet apart don't need to be abided, except where required by federal, state, local, tribal, or territorial laws, rules, and regulations, including local business and workplace guidance.
However, the no-mask policy only applies within states and jurisdictions that no longer have a mask mandate...

Therefore, California and Los Angeles County both still require masks inside establishments.
Well, Schroder clearly missed this memo...
And, when he was asked to wear a face mask when entering a California Costco, instead of obliging and going about his day, he decided to resist and kick up one hell of a fuss.
Schroder went on a lengthy rant at the Costco manager, who introduced himself as Jason...
And, as well as challenge him on "the law", he decided to educate Jason on how the "kings and people in power" have destroyed our economy and culture.
He even tried to encourage his followers to get a membership refund from Costco themselves.
"I'm getting my refund. I'm getting my refund from Costco. I suggest everybody in California get their refund from Costco. Give up your membership to Costco until they remove this."
Jason stayed admirably calm throughout the entire rant...
And, keeping his composure, he simply responding that "this hasn't changed in any building, in California, in any company that I'm aware of. The places I shop still require masks. But that's not the point. The point is that Costco is simply abiding by the law."
All in all, it's a truly bizarre interaction...
And, ever since it went viral, people have been applauding the actions of the store's manager.
