Rihanna Felt Like a ‘Bad Mom’ for Not Wanting a Gender Reveal Party

Rihanna is worried she’s a “bad mom” after admitting she didn’t want a gender reveal party for her baby.

There’s a lot of pressure on new parents, especially those in the public eye, to put on a performance when they announce they’re pregnant.

And with baby showers and gender reveal parties becoming increasingly more popular, it’s almost more unusual for people to chose not to have one.

But no one should be forced to feel as though they should go through with something they’re not comfortable with, and Rihanna has recently shared that she felt bad for not wanting a gender reveal party.

Now, Rihanna isn’t the most traditional new mom, and we love her for it! But this also means she isn’t one for doing things by the book, and that means she won’t be sharing the gender of her baby with her fans… at least not yet.

However, in a recent interview with Vogue, the singer explained she felt like a “bad mom” for not wanting one.

She even admitted she wasn’t 100% sure she even wanted a baby shower. “No brunch, no blush tones. And no animal-shaped nothing,” she said.

“I mean it’s lit for a lot of people — I’ve even planned a couple of baby showers like that myself — it’s just not right for me,” she shared.

Adding: “Personally, I want a party. I want everyone to be plastered and crawling out. And it’s got to be co-ed!”

But it looks like the fact she doesn’t want a gender reveal party has weighed on her mind: “I asked my doctor: ‘Is something wrong with me for not wanting this? Because people keep asking me. Am I a bad mom?'” she said.

Although they don’t want to announce the gender of their baby just yet, Rihanna and A$AP Rocky do know what they’ll be having.

“When we’re ready to tell the world, we’ll just tell them,” she said.

I think we can all agree she’s definitely not a bad mom.
