Ever since the Capitol Riots took place at the start of the year, the FBI, as well as local authorities, have been working together to arrest as many of the perpetrators as possible...

And while most of the time, it requires hard work and meticulous research to find those who were responsible for the siege...

Sometimes, it makes their lives much easier when friends and family decide to help out.

And Grayson Sherrill's family did just that.

Now, the events from that dreaded day still haunt us.

As a joint session of Congress convened to formally count the Electoral College votes and certify Joe Biden's election win, lawmakers were forced to shelter in place and evacuate as pro-Trump rioters broke into the U.S Capitol Building.

And photos showing them looting objects, such as the lectern of U.S. Speaker of the House, Nancy Pelosi, quickly started circulating online.

From this, more violence ensued...

As rioters clashed with the few police officers in presence.

The scenes shocked people all over the globe...

And the world watched on, transfixed, as more and more rioters continued to spill into the Capitol and clash with police.

From the get-go, there were calls for Trump to intervene.

The former president was repeatedly urged to appear on national television to order his supporters to stand down.

He instead issued a series of half-hearted tweets...

Where he reminded the rioters that the police and law enforcement was "on our side," and to "remain peaceful."

Trump's behavior resulted in him being banned from all social media platforms...

And, as control was regained in the Capitol and the cleanup began, an impeachment investigation was launched into the former president for the role he played in the riots. He was acquitted yet again for his actions.

It's been an unbelievable past couple of months...

And, as the weeks have trickled by, more and more rioters have been named, shamed, and reprimanded for their actions including CEOs, retail workers, people from all walks of life.

Security footage from inside the Capitol during the attack was presented at Trump's impeachment trial...

And it was nothing short of harrowing.

A senior aide said of the never-before-seen security footage:

"We will be using footage never seen before that shows a view of the Capitol that is quite extraordinary and a view of the attack that has never been public before. You will see for the first time."

Senators also reacted to the surfaced footage.

Senators on both sides of the aisle were visibly affected by what they saw:

"It was really horrifying what happened. You know, I think the House team really put forth a very strong connecting of the dots. I don't see how you can watch any of this and listen to their presentation and not conclude that Trump bears tremendous responsibility for what happened," Sen. Mazie Hirono, D-Hawaii, told reporters.

Police officers and first responders even lined up to give their testimony's against the frightful events that unfolded.

Captain Carneysha Mendoza told senators what she had endured that day, saying this: "I received chemical burns to my face that still have not healed to this day."

She continued:

"We could have had 10-times the number of people working with us, and I still believe the battle would have been just as devastating," she said, referring to the fact that the National Guard took hours to arrive on the scene to help exhausted officers.

But even despite substantial evidence pointing to Donald Trump inciting this level of violence, in the eyes of the law, he was cleared of all charges.

However, his followers are not.

Trump supporters are still being brought to justice.

Recently, one man was arrested after his family reported him to the FBI.

And lots of people have been applauding whoever handed him over.

Grayson Sherrill from Cherryville, North Carolina was arrested in connection to the riots after his family recognized him in a photo...

He was stood next to a statue of Dwight D. Eisenhower wearing a red "Keep America Great" hoodie while holding an object in his hands.

According to authorities, Sherrill's father texted another family member a picture of Sherrill inside the building.

Another family member also told them that the father had sent them a screenshot of a news channel's report of the attack showing his son inside the building and also mentioned that he had traveled to Washington.

Here's the photo in question:

Let's just hope all the other criminals are also brought to justice very soon.
