People are reeling after discovering the shocking truth about Ernie Hudson’s age.
The actor is stirring up buzz ahead of the release of Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire, one of this year’s most anticipated films.
Hudson reprises his role as Winston Zeddemore, now a mastermind in the paranormal universe.
This comes four decades after he skyrocketed to fame alongside Dan Aykroyd, Bill Murray, and Harold Ramis in the original Ghostbusters.
“It’s been 40 years. Over half my life has been Ghostbusters on some level or other,” he shared with the Independent.
“I’ve been acting close to 60 years and there are some films I’ve made that I hope they never even think about making again.”
Ahead of the movie’s release, Hudson has been gracing red carpets, dazzling fans with his age-defying appearance.
At 78 years old, many are astounded, suggesting he looks half his age.
One social media user exclaimed, “Seventy f**king Eight??”
“I thought he looks 45!” another marveled.
“This man had found the fountain of youth… he looks good for his age!” chimed in a third.
While Ghostbusters remains his hallmark, Hudson’s career spans numerous projects, such as The Crow and Miss Congeniality.
“Most things come and go,” he reflected. “But it’s just a job. It doesn’t give you special status.”
“I’m still a working guy,” he humbly added.
However, Hudson’s journey with the Ghostbusters franchise wasn’t always smooth sailing.
On The Howard Stern Wrap Up Show, he opened up about his experiences with Columbia Pictures, the studio behind Ghostbusters.
“I was brought in, but the studio wasn’t welcoming or inclusive,” he disclosed.
“So it made it very, very difficult because I was a part of it but then I very selectively was pushed aside.”
