As rapper, DMX, remains in hospital having reportedly suffered a drug overdose and heart attack, the Ruff Ryders motorcycle crew gathered outside the hospital to pay tribute...

DMX is one of the most influential rappers of all time.

Born in 1970, DMX began releasing his first tunes in the early 90s.

He released his best-selling album, ... And Then There Was X, in 1999.

Which included the hit song, "Party Up (Up in Here)"

Since his debut DMX has released seven studio albums.


And has cemented himself into the hip hop hall of fame forever.

The rapper also appeared in numerous films.

Including action thrillers Romeo Must Die (2000), Exit Wounds (2001) and Cradle 2 the Grave (2003).

But DMX has had many battles through his life.


Many of which are personal battles for substance abuse.

He's been to rehab many times.


His last stint was back in 2019...

After that he made a powerful return to the stage.

Where he told fans: "When you fall down, get back up, everyone here has been through some s**t and you never know what God is willing to do for you until you need him to do something for you."

But over the weekend tragic news emerged.


The news that DMX had suffered a suspected overdose and is reportedly in grave condition...

The alleged overdose occurred on Friday.

It's been reported that the drug overdose took place at around 11pm Friday evening.

According to TMZ, the overdose triggered a heart attack.


He was rushed to a hospital in White Plains, New York.

Rumors have been circulating online in regards to the rapper's condition.

It was initially reported by some outlets that DMX had been taken off life support but his attorney Murray Richman later said he was misinformed, confirming he was still in 'grave condition' after suffering a heart attack at home at around 11pm on Friday 2 April.

It a statement issued by his family, they said: "We are issuing this statement to combat all the false and misleading reports that are circulating on social media."

"Last night Earl 'DMX' Simmons was rushed to the hospital after collapsing at home.

"At this time he remains in ICU in critical condition. Earl has been a warrior his entire life. This situation represents yet another road he must cross."

"The Simmons Family appreciates the overwhelming outpouring of heartfelt love, encouragement, support and prayers for Earl. Earl is someone whose life and music has been a source of inspiration and strength to so many people around the world."

Since the news, tributes have been pouring in.

And now, the Ruff Ryders motorcycle club, have decided to go one step further...

Members of the Ruff Ryders motorcycle club, developed by DMX in the early 2000s, gathered at the hospital where DMX is.

A FOX5 reporter was outside the hospital on Sunday when the group of bikers arrived.

In footage posted online, the group gathered playing DMX's music.

Showing their support, presumably with the hope his loved ones will hear from inside.
