The beloved star of RuPaul's Drag Race, Chi Chi Devayne (real name Zavion Davenport) has passed away aged just 34 years old. The drag community and world are mourning her loss.

Chi Chi Devayne rose to fame on RPDR season 8.

She placed fourth on the iconic season, and gained millions of fans along the way.

She had come from humble roots.

Chi Chi didn't have the money and drag connections to create the elaborate costumes of her competitors.

But that didn't stop her.

Chi Chi wowed audiences with her can-do attitude and incredible lip-sync skills.

The show's producers were also impressed.

As Chi Chi was invited back to participate in All Stars 3.

Alongside her unstoppable talent...

Chi Chi was known for being one of the kindest stars of the show's long franchise.

Chi Chi had been struggling with her health for much of 2020.

In February, she was diagnosed with scleroderma, a chronic incurable illness that causes the skin to tighten and thick scar tissues to form around internal organs.

Things worsened this week.

And she was hospitalized with pneumonia on Thursday.

Her family has shared a statement.

"Out of respect for the immediate family, please await additional information and directives regarding the final arrangements, memorials, and the method to remit condolences and expressions of kindness."

"His final words to his family and friends, 'Never give up.'"

"We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord."

RIP to this talented queen and wonderful human.

And tragically, Chi Chi isn't the only star we've lost this year ...
