He’s probably best known for his role as Marvel superhero, Deadpool.

In fact, he even directed the second Deadpool movie.

Let’s not forget his other acting successes such as The Proposal, Buried, and The Croods: A New Age.

And most recently, Free Guy.

But Reynolds isn’t just known for his excellent acting.

He is also known for his excellent humor.

Reynolds has one of the most beloved social media presences in the celebosphere.

His Twitter is loaded with golden moments, often making fun of being a husband and a father.

Around the time of his wife’s, Blake Lively, birthday, he often comes up with ingenious ways to share a sarcastic tribute to Lively — like his iconic poorly-cropped photo.

It clear to see why Reynolds has become so well-loved over the years.

And why he has gained so many adoring fans.

But unfortunately for them, Reynolds recently made a heartbreaking announcement…

Reynolds announced that he will be taking a short break from acting.

Having just finished filming on his new movie Spirited, a musical version of A Christmas Carol, Reynolds shared the news.

In an Instagram post, Reynolds wrote: “That’s a wrap for me on Spirited. Not sure I’d have been ready to say yes to a film this challenging even three years ago.”

The news of his break has left many people disappointed…

And even more people wondering, why?

In an interview with LinkedIn, Reynolds revealed the reason behind his break…

And it’s all to do with his family.

He explained that the “biggest reason” for taking time off is because he doesn’t “want to miss this time with my kids.”

“I want my kids to have a pretty normal schedule,” he said. “For many years, when my wife Blake would shoot a film, I would not shoot a film, and I would be with the kids and vice versa. So we would sort of trade off.”

Reynolds said that now his children are in school “they have a somewhat normal schedule,” something he thinks is important.

“I think it’s totally important for their development, and I really enjoy being a present dad,” he said.

Reynolds further added that he loves to take his children to school and pick them which this will enable him to do.

He also added he wants to spend more time focusing on his production company, Maximum Effort.

He’s also been working on projects with his pal, Rob McElhenney.

But it seems as though one of Reynolds’ past co-stars has a rather less favorable view on the actor…

TJ Miller, who played Reynolds’ best pal in Deadpool, spoke out on the Adam Carolla Show.

“After he got super, super famous from the first Deadpool, then he, yeah, things kind of changed,” Miller claimed.

“I mean, would I work with him again?

  via Getty Images

“No, I would not work with him again,” he admitted.

“I sort of wish him well, because he’s so good at Deadpool.

“And I think it’s weird that he hates me,” he said.

Miller also opened up about an uncomfortable moment between the 2 on set…

“We had a really weird moment on Deadpool where he said ‘let’s do one more take’ but then as the character he was horrifically mean to me — but to me, as if I’m Weasel.”

But now, Miller has insisted that there were no hard feelings and it was all just a “misunderstanding”, after Reynolds personally got in touch with him to clear the air.

“It was really cool. He emailed me the next day… it was a misunderstanding. So I emailed him back, and now it’s fine.

“What’s ridiculous is, it was just me telling a story from on-set that I thought was weird… but I just wasn’t thinking… and that’s a big problem I have in general is not thinking about the repercussions of saying this or that,” Miller said.

He explained that, after his original claims went viral, Reynolds reached out to him to say: “Hey, I just heard on the show that you were upset about this.”

“And I kind of said: ‘You know, I’m not.’ And then we sort of just hashed it out really quickly,” Miller admitted.

Well, we’re glad it’s all good now!
