Yes, you read that correctly. Hugh Jackman is making his way back onto the big screen once again as his iconic Wolverine character.
Ryan Reynolds posted a video online in which he not only confirmed Jackman’s return but also gave a release date for Deadpool 3.
And that’s not all.
He’s also shared the very first images of Wolverine’s return.

Disney acquired Fox Studios, which happens to produce the Deadpool movies.
The purchase of Fox Studios was made as part of a $71 billion dollar deal, meaning Disney now owns the rights to franchises such as X-Men and Fantastic Four. Now, it seems like the Disney empire is bigger than ever, with a growing chunk of Hollywood in its hands.
But the deal has sparked speculation when it comes to Deadpool.
Many have questioned whether Disney will downplay or completely restrain the R-rated superhero.
And it left fans with several burning questions…
Will Deadpool be joining the MCU? Or is this the end for the Merc with a Mouth?
Speaking to EW, co-writer Paul Wernick said Marvel has given them permission to continue making R-rated films for the Deadpool franchise.
“Marvel has promised to continue to let us play in the R-rated Deadpool universe, and the hope is that they will also let us veer into the MCU a little bit as well and play in that sandbox,” he said.

The man behind the superhero took to Twitter to share a snap that appears to confirm that he will be reprising his role in the third movie. The cryptic image certainly got fans talking.

The Canadian actor wants the third installment of the movie to be huge as it makes its way into the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
“I’ve had to really search my soul on this one,” Reynolds said.
“His first appearance in the MCU obviously needs to feel special. We need to stay true to the character, find new depth and motivation, new meaning.
“Every Deadpool needs to stand out and stand apart. It’s been an incredible challenge that has forced me to reach down deep inside, and I… I have nothing… yeah… just… completely… empty up there …and terrifying,” he continued.
What better way is it for Deadpool to enter the MCU than by getting in the biggest name in the Marvel universe?
And as for a release date…
The new Deadpool movie will be released in September 2024.

“The suit we all grew up with. Should be a great film with these two. The banter in other forms of media between the characters works well,” another agreed.
