Salt Bae fans have been surprised once again…

But this time it’s not because of the unreasonably high prices to wine and dine at his new restaurant.

Instead, it’s because they’ve heard him talk for the first time… Have a look for yourselves.

Now, we all remember Salt Bae, right?

The viral chef recently opened a restaurant in London that has shaken the internet.

Sure, it looks like fun.

The true definition of a celebrity chef.

Many are sharing their experiences in his restaurants.

But aside from the viral content of the videos, there’s a couple of things many are taking issue with…

Starting with the bill!

Yeah, that’s a $2,483 meal…

And that’s not the worst of it!

One group headed to the restaurant and managed to rack up a staggering bill of $50,000!
And before you ask, no, we haven’t made a typo.

And then, of course, there’s the horrifying service charge.

Which almost cost as much as the meal itself.

Diners with a $50,000 dollar bill were given a service charge of…

$6,500.

Now, it is safe to say we know a lot about Salt Bae and his restaurants after recent headlines.

But, after posting a video of himself on Instagram, many people have discovered the one thing they didn’t realize…

It’s the first time they’ve heard him talk and they are pretty confused by it.

Salt Bae, who’s real name is Nusret Gökçe, took to Instagram to share a video of himself sat down, talking about London.

“Hold on, hold on. I wanna say something about London,” he says as he makes a rainbow with his hands. “London is my big dream. Some day, next day, every day. All the time. I love London.”

Someone behind the camera then asks Salt Bae how his English is, to which he responds: “My English almost like a British.”

Before showing off his British impersonation as he said: “You know’… ‘cheers,’ hope to see you soon London.”

A valiant effort, my friend. Had you heard him speak before seeing this video?
