In general, schools have general rules in place to protect students...

From fire drills to uniform restrictions, these rules have been well-thought-out.

But with the pandemic still going strong, these rules aren't just the typical ones anymore...

In lots of states, it has become mandatory to wear a face mask on certain occasions.

But the issue that many people have discovered is how uncomfortable face masks can be for children...

In France, these rules apply in certain areas. As the country went into their second lockdown of the year, new rules have also come into effect in order to protect children as they continue their journey in education, even during these difficult times.
While stricter rules force children as young as 6 to wear masks across the board...Others just re-iterate the rules that have been in place since the first lockdown.
The government is focussing on tightening COVID-19 rules to make sure risks are minimized. But there's one new rule that a school in Avignon, which is in the south of the country, has decided to enforce.
And it has something to do with a whole different type of health risk.Trillade elementary school put up signs outside the school, telling parents: "Je ne lance pas mes enfants par-dessus le portail!"
And if your French skills aren't up to par...That literally translates to "I'm not throwing my children over the gate!" Apparently, parents have been launching their children over a six-foot fence when they're running late to school! Keep scrolling for the full post.
And no, I'm not joking. The reaction to the sign has been nothing short of hilarious, with people mocking this new rule.
