As scientists have claimed they’ve discovered a lost continent!
The landmass in question is Zealandia, also referred to as Te Riu-a-Māui in the Māori dialect.
And it was once part of the ancient supercontinent Gondwana.
It has been lost under the sea for over 300 years.
And now GNS geologists have announced they’ve rediscovered the continent!
The undersea mass spans approximately 1.89 million square miles (4.9 million square kilometres).
And remains under 6,560 feet (two kilometres) of water.
