A server has dished out his fiery opinion, after calling customers to start tipping more amid rising inflation.

Ben Raanan’s viral TikTok video has called out customers who apparently still leave five to ten dollars as a tip…

And it has certainly received a mixed response.

In the June 26 post, Raanan captioned the video as: “Tip ur f***ing servers.”

He then went on to say that inflation doesn’t mean you put less on the table for a tip.

“Inflation means that $10 is not worth that much anymore. You can’t just leave a little cute five, a little cute ten for your server, and think that that’s like fun and cute. It’s not fun and cute.”

“If your bill is like $50 you can leave ten, that’s 20 percent. If your bill was $200 and you leave me ten dollars, that’s five percent. That’s f***ed up. That’s a f***ing insult,” the server said.

But he didn’t just stop there, he targeted the people who left him a tip of only 5%…

“If you come back to my f***ing restaurant after leaving me five percent – honestly, even ten percent – I’m gonna say something. I’m gonna be like, ‘Was there a problem with your service last time? Because you tipped 10%, 5% – and that is not a good tip at all.’ I’m going to put you on the spot,” said the frustrated server.

And he didn’t hold back from getting all servers to start doing the same because according to him its “f***ed up.”

“Servers, we honestly need to start doing that, because this is f***ed up, people shouldn’t be doing that.”

He also made a point to give advice to customers…

“If you don’t know how to calculate a tip – take the bill, move it decimal point, that’s 10%. Double it, that’s 20% – that’s what you should tip,” he concluded the video.

The video soon went viral and gained over 150,000 views, according to VT.

While many agreed with Raanan, there was one user who didn’t…

“I get it, but if your employer paid you a liveable wage, then we as the consumers shouldn’t have to tip you anything,” responded one user.

But Raanan made sure to reply to all the comments with another video…

“If I’m not entitled to a tip, you’re not entitled to good service. Guess what? You take for granted the nice experience you have at restaurants,” he explained.
