Born in Vancouver, British Columbia, Rogen started his career very early on, doing stand up comedy wherever he could.

Rogen often performed at the likes of birthday parties.

At the young age of sixteen, Rogen placed second in the 1998 Vancouver Amateur Comedy Contest.

Not bad for a high school drop out.

Rogen’s career kicked off when he found himself taking on a role in a TV series called Freaks and Geeks where he played Ken Miller.

Even though the show only managed to get out one season before it ended, it helped Rogen and the likes of James Franco and Jason Segel find their feet in a competitive industry.

He went on to gain roles in the likes of Undeclared, Donnie Darko and Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy.

One of his most popular pieces during that time had to be the American television version of Da Ali G Show which went on to receive an Emmy nomination for the writing team.

Then we have The 40 Year-Old Virgin, Superbad, Pineapple Express, and Funny People.

And of course, lets not forget his role in the Neighbours and The Interview.

Let’s just say he’s achieved a lot since he placed second at a random comedy show back in 1998.

And he has had a lot of success along the way.

However, it seems that Rogen’s most recent series hasn’t had quite the success of his other endeavours.

As he has admitted that his new show has angered “tens of thousands of white supremacists” and it has sparked a lot of opinions online…
