Competing for the first time since withdrawing from the team competition last week with a case of "the twisties," Simone Biles has come back strong and won a bronze medal in today's balance beam final - her 7th career Olympic medal, tying her with Shannon Miller for the most by a U.S. gymnast.

"It's honestly petrifying trying to do a skill but not having your mind and body in sync," Biles wrote in an Instagram story last week about her withdrawal from the Olympics, noting that she'd had these kinds of periods before and it had usually taken around 2 weeks to recover. "Something you literally have to take day by day, turn by turn."
Congratulations Simone and Team USA!
