Music icon, Sia, has this week revealed the results of her face lift.
And fans are shocked!
The Australian-born singer is constantly in and out of the headlines.
But her latest move has been rather controversial …
The singer-songwriter has made waves on the music scene with her soulful and meaningful music and song lyrics and has become popular for her somewhat eccentric style.
The singer isn’t your typical musician.
She very rarely shows her face and covers herself up in an attempt to shy away from the typical celebrity lifestyle.
During performances and public appearances, Sia has been known to hide her face with huge bows, wigs, and all manner of headgear.
For the last few years, the musician has used stage performers and dancers, such as Maddie Ziegler, to represent her and take most of the spotlight.
The Australian native has, with very little filter, discussed her struggles and anxieties when it comes to dealing with fame, and how she depended on substance abuse to cope for many years.
“I was an alcoholic and a drug addict, and I sobered up and decided I didn’t want to be an artist anymore because I was starting to get a little bit famous, and it was destabilizing in some way,” she told James Corden in 2016, when discussing her wigs.
Sia hasn’t been afraid of opening up about her feelings towards fame and attention from fans.
“If anyone besides famous people knew what it was like to be a famous person, they would never want to be famous,” she once wrote in Billboard in 2013.
Unlike many celebrities these days, Sia is refreshingly normal, which is one of the many reasons people love her so much.
Though she doesn’t use her real name, she does post real photos of herself on the apps – She admitted that most people don’t realize that she’s the famous singer, and she just tells them that she’s a writer.
She also went viral for her heartwarming family journey.
Though the artist did confirm that she became a mom during an interview with GQ earlier this year, it has since been explained that it was actually through an adoption program.
She met two boys who were ageing out of the system.
So Sia decided to adopt them so they could officially be a part of a family, before their age made it impossible.
“I actually adopted two sons last year.”
“They were both eighteen – they’re both nineteen years old now. They were aging out of the foster care system. Yeah, and I love them.”
“They are both finding it pretty difficult, one more so than the other,” she said.
“But they’re both doing things that are really good for them right now, that are really helpful. They’re really doing a lot of educational stuff that’s good for them.”
But now, Sia has hit headlines for a rather controversial reason.
She’s showing off the results of her facelift!
She attended the 5th annual Daytime Beauty Awards in Los Angeles this week.
Presenting Beverly Hills plastic surgeon Dr. Ben Talei with the award for Outstanding Achievement in Medicine.
And during her speech, she revealed he was the one behind her new look!
She said: “I’m a pop star that normally hides my face and doesn’t lie about s***. I got an amazing facelift from Dr. Talei,” as per E! News.
“He is incredible. And he is doing so much good work – and not just for the pop stars of the world.”
“I was showing someone in the back my before-and-afters right before I came on,” she continued.
“People go, ‘You look nice.’ I’m like, ‘Dr. Ben Talei, face lift’ for like anything you could ever want. I love him, I can’t say enough good about him.”
Dr Talei was also full of praise for Sia …
“I don’t know if you guys know how amazing Sia is as a person,” he said.
“We have a lot of common friends and it’s always shocking how many keep saying, ‘I love her, I love her, I love her. She’s amazing.'”
“She really is, like you can see – a bright ray of sunshine and made my nieces and nephews’ days. She invited them over to her house for a big party, and the whole family loves her. I’m super grateful,” the doctor concluded.
