Janelle, Meri, and Christine both split from Kody Brown from the hit reality show Sister Wives late last year.
And now, Christine has introduced her new boyfriend to the world!
Scroll on for all the details!
TLC’s Sister Wives has a huge online following…
It documents the life of polygamist Kody Brown and his large family, made up of 4 ‘Sister Wives‘ Meri, Janelle, Christine, and Robyn, who live harmoniously along with their eighteen children.
It might come as a surprise that Kody didn’t grow up around polygamy…
But was actually introduced to that way of life by his dad, who began a polygamous relationship when he was a teen.
Kody went on to meet Meri through his sister, and the pair hit it off well, with Meri coming from a polygamous background herself.
They met in October 1989, and after a whirlwind romance, became engaged in December of the same year.
They went on to get married just 4 months later on April 21. Kody was twenty-one at the time, while Meri was just nineteen.
Then Janelle entered the picture, shortly after divorcing Meri’s brother.
They ended up spiritually marrying on January 17, 1993, when Janelle was twenty-three.
Just a year after their union, Christine joined the family.
But this spiritual merger was a little less rushed.
Kody and Christine were friends for 3 years before deciding to take things further.
Christine was twenty-one when they eventually went official on March 25, 1994.
Then in 2010, the filming began for the first season of Sister Wives.
During this time, divorcee Robyn came into the picture, bringing her 3 kids into the equation.
They spiritually married on May 22, 2010.
But it has been hard work for the couples.
And it seems Kody’s relationships are taking a turn for the worst…
As splits have rocked the family.
Kody opened up about his and Janelle’s separation in a teaser clip for the new Sister Wives: One on One special, during Sunday’s episode.
“I am separated from Janelle,” he said.
Adding: “And I’m divorced from Christine [Brown].”
Janelle also confirmed, saying: “Kody and I have separated.”
This might not come as a huge surprise to fans, as the pair have been struggling with their relationship all season.
In last week’s episode, we saw Kody and Janelle question their commitment to each other.
Both of them discussed whether they could worth things out or not.
And it looks as though they’ve come to a conclusion.
Kody admitted that he felt as though he was “begging” Janelle to get closer.
While Janelle said she was trying to “do everything [she] can to make this work.”
But explained that she was “not even sure it’s possible to come back from where we are.”
“I never thought that I would ever be in a place where I would be questioning my relationship…
“But the last few years, I began to wonder if we’re compatible anymore,” she said in an interview after the news came out.
Adding: “Maybe this doesn’t work anymore for me. I don’t know.”
This also comes after last week’s episode which saw the pair have a huge fight over Kody’s Covid-19 rules. In this episode, Janelle said: “I just think we’ve never had divides this deep.”
“Christine has left, and that’s obviously [a] very, very big departure for what our family has looked like for many years.
“This is like the ultimate test of our family. Can we hold it together with all of this?”
Kody still remains in a polygamous bond with Meri and Robyn, though his relationship with Meri is no longer romantic.
Janelle also opened up about the split.
“I’m ready for you 2023!” she shared on Instagram.
“2023 is my year!”
Fellow sister wife Meri Brown then confirmed she too is separating from Kody.
“It just doesn’t make sense to me that he would be so frustrated with Christine and be like, ‘She just made this decision. We didn’t consult, we didn’t talk, she just made the decision,” Meri said to People.
“And then he says, ‘No, I don’t consider myself married to Meri.’
“Like, he just made the decision. I’ve never heard him say that to me.
“This last anniversary, he’s like, ‘I don’t even know why you called me Meri. … We’re not married. We’re not acting as married,'” she added.
And now, Christine Brown has introduced her new boyfriend David to the internet!
“I finally found the love of my life, David,” she wrote on Instagram.
“The first time he held me close, it felt like my soul took it’s first breath. He’s wonderful and kind, incredible with my children and an adorable grandpa. I never dreamed I could find a love like this!”
We’re so happy for her!
