Let's start from the beginning.

On Monday, May 25th, a defenseless black man was killed while in a police restraint.

George Floyd was arrested and forced to the ground...

Where former police officer, Derek Chauvin, proceeded to kneel on his neck, while 3 other officers knelt on his back.

Footage of George's "arrest" quickly circulated on social media...

And, in the highly distressing scenes, he could be heard begging with the officers to release him and repeatedly saying "Please, please... I can't breathe."

After nearly ten minutes, George was completely unresponsive.

An ambulance arrived and took the unconscious man to hospital but, devastatingly, he was pronounced dead upon arrival. He was only forty-six years old.

This kind of police brutality has been happening for centuries now...

Protesters became interweaved with rioters and, as they continue to clash with police, the scenes unfolding across our country have been becoming steadily more violent.

But change needs to happen and, at the moment, this seems like the only way to make it happen.

And, remarkably, they seem to be working.

Thanks to these riots, the Black Lives Matter movement is dominating global headlines, and it has completely taken over social media.

This is only the beginning.

And it's so important that we continue to speak out and use our voices.

But the news of the fatal shooting of Rayshard Brooks just last week sent yet more shockwaves throughout the nation.

While another officer involved was fired.

And now, the stepmother of the former Atlanta police officer charged with the shooting has reportedly been fired from her job.

Fox News host Tucker Carlson stated that a "source familiar with the matter" told his show that Melissa Rolfe was let go from an Atlanta-based company called Equity Prime Mortgage, where she had been human resources director.

Just a couple of hours after the report went live...

The company themselves released an official statement.

It read as follows:

As an employer, it is imperative to maintain a safe environment for all employees. Melissa Rolfe's termination was a director result of her actions in the workplace and violation of company policy. "While working with Melissa as she transitioned to a leave of absence granted by our organization, we discovered she violated company policy and created an uncomfortable working environment for many of our employees."

It continued:

"As an HR director, she ultimately lost the confidence of her peers, leadership, and many employees who no longer felt comfortable engaging with her. "We value diversity of thought and respect Melissa's personal views and the views of all employees; however, when those views create a hostile working environment, we must make difficult decisions."

The statement did not directly say what Rolfe did to violate company policy.
