As we eagerly await the release of the latest installment of Stranger Things, a thrilling announcement on social media has got the fandom feeling excited!

Although we're yet to hear a release date, we have to assume we're getting close.

As Netflix keeps offering us tantalizing teasers about the long-awaited season 4 - which has been super delayed thanks to the pandemic.

And today, they've offered us news about 4 brand new characters.

The first is played by Amybeth McNulty.

The nineteen-year-old Irish star is probably best known for her starring role in Anne with an E.

She'll be playing Vickie, "a cool, fast talking band nerd who catches the eye of one of our beloved heroes."

Next up in Myles Truitt.

You may recognize him from Black Lightning.

He's set to play Patrick, "a Hawkins basketball star who has friends, talent, and a good life…until shocking events send his life spiraling out of control."

The third new character is played by Regina Ting Chen.

She's another Black Lightning cast member.

Regina is going to play Ms Kelly, "a popular guidance counselor who cares deeply for her students — especially those struggling the most".

The final new star is Grace Van Dien.

She's actually the great-granddaughter of screen legend Robert Mitchum.

Van Dien is lined up for the role of Chrissy, "Hawkins' High lead cheerleader and the most popular girl in school. But beneath the seemingly perfect surface lies a dark secret."

We're so excited! Make sure to stay posted for updates on all stranger things.
