Everybody knows Schnapp‘s character in Stranger Things as Will Byers…

If you don’t then where have you been?
After making various assumptions about Schnapp’s character…

Fans became eager to know more about the equation between Mike, played by Finn Wolfhard, and Will, especially as Mike was becoming “extremely friendly” with Will.
It’s probably just a phase we thought, but we were wrong.
The actor teased fans with an obvious sign when he gave an interview about it…

“Obviously, it was hinted at in season 1. It was always kind of there, but you never really knew, is it just him growing up slower than his friends?” he told Variety.
And further doubts were made clearer.
Schnapp appreciated the makers for scripting the season so well…

“They are writing this real character and this real journey and real struggle and they’re doing it so well,” he said.
He even made our assumptions clear when he added…

He’s “100% clear” that his characters sexuality is swinging to the right.
It all began when fans were convinced that Will’s sexuality was clear during “an emotional exchange in the back of Argyle’s (Eduardo Franco) pizza truck” back in season 4.

The scene which grabbed eyeballs the most was the one in which Mike opened up to Will about his fears that “Eleven might not love him anymore.”
And that she doesn’t “need” him anymore…

This plot twist made fans speculate even more than they should!
Talking about Will’s sexuality, Schnapp said “he was kind of figuring it out along with the audience.”

Is that why he was refraining from revealing any spoilers?
We think so.
But coming back, the thing that made fans go crazy was Will’s next move in the latest season…

In an attempt to console his friend, Will tells him “Eleven has struggled to be apart from Mike while living in California.”
But it’s obvious she’s not the only one missing Mike.
And the speculations continued after that about Will and Mike’s sexuality…

And, now the speculations have been put to rest — finally!
As Schnapp confessed his character is gay…

“Now that he’s gotten older, they made it a very real, obvious thing. Now it’s 100 percent clear that he is gay and he does love Mike. But before, it was a slow arc. I think it is done so beautifully because it’s so easy to make a character just like all of a sudden be gay,” Schnapp revealed.
And now, the 17-year-old has made another shocking confession…
After recently graduating high school the star actor is going to continue his education at the University of Pennsylvania…

According to Vanity Fair, Schnapp will study business and is apparently inspired by his costar Millie Bobby Brown.
The actor recently shared a video on TikTok of his family reacting to his acceptance into college…

The video shows his parents and twin sister jumping up and down in excitement over the good news.
He explained to the media outlet that while he initially thought about getting his degree in drama…

Schnapp ultimately decided that acting was kind of repetitive and he wanted to try something different.
“I’ve always been super interested in entrepreneurship… I was just brainstorming all of my passions and what I care about, what I love, and I just kind of combined my favorite things. I love Nutella. It’s my favorite thing ever, but it’s so bad for you and so bad for the planet.

“And so I was like, there’s a gap in the market for that. I need to fix it. It’s been a cool learning experience, too, building the package and taste testing what works and what doesn’t and seeing the feedback. I’m very excited to continue on that kind of entrepreneurship journey and see what’s next,” he continued.
But that’s not all, as the actor recently revealed in an interview with Flaunt that he has a part-time job…

As a lifeguard at his local pool, which he credits for keeping him humble — how cool is that?
“It’s kind of a ‘just for fun thing,’” he said.

“I’ve kind of grown up with a normal life and normal friends and stuff outside of Stranger Things, so it’s kind of kept me grounded,” Schnapp admitted.
