A teacher was left taken aback following a student’s touching note at the back of his test.
The heartwarming gesture was shared online and people can’t help but commend the student…
Now, maintaining good grades can be difficult.
I don’t know about you, but thinking back to high school, sometimes I wonder how I made it out with decent grades given how stressful the entire ordeal was.
From constantly having to regurgitate new information to navigating test answers, the experience only proved one thing:
Intelligence cannot be defined via an hour’s test in class.
And not to mention all the external factors, home and social, that can have a dramatic effect on your grades.
But mid-terms or finals don’t take that into consideration when points are distributed.
Well, it seems as though one straight-A student empathized with their fellow peers…
And decided to help out one lucky student by giving his bonus points to whoever scored the lowest on the test they did in class.
The heartwarming story was shared online by his teacher, Winston Lee.
Posting to Facebook, Lee decided to share the story with all of his followers.
Upon reading it, kind comments poured in…
Lee wrote this:
“Have to shout this out. Had honestly never seen this…”
“One of my guys, a straight A+ guy, offers up his 5 bonus points to someone in need. Anyone. Totally offering up what is rightfully his, his earning, to any peer that may have been struggling especially hard the day of the test.”
“He didn’t care if he considered them a friend…”
“[He] didn’t care if they were cool, didn’t matter to him what situation had caused them to score lower, he just wanted to help, be kind, commit a loving act.”
“This note gave me so much hope. Let us all be a little more like this young man!”
We wholeheartedly agree!
And for those of you losers at the back that are like “well that’s not fair to whoever gets those points because they didn’t deserve it!” kindly shut up. I hardly believe 5 points is going to completely change their overall grade, but you know what it might do? Raise their morale a bit. And that’s enough.
And Lee backed that up.
“I tried to not let any of the negative comments affect any of the positivity that was coming from it,” he told CNN. “I just wanted to honor what this student had asked for and felt he earned his right to give his points away because it was such an amazing gesture.”
If you want to be like anyone, be more like this student.
