10 Super Famous Celebs in Their Least Glamorous Role

When you’re an A-List star, you live a life of glamour and have the best of everything.

Fancy house, fancy clothes  – even the fanciest roles.

But it takes time to get to the A-List, which means many of the hot stars of today have a few embarrassing parts under their belt.

Here are the least glamorous roles of 10 mainstream celebs.

Leonardo DiCaprio is one of the biggest, most powerful stars on the planet. For the better part of two decades he’s dominated the screen.

But did you know he was an extra on Roseanne? That’s right, The Wolf of Wallstreet himself once played “Darlene’s Classmate” on an episode of the recently resurrected show. See if you can spot him far left on the 2.12 mark.

Cate Blanchett is one of the most respected actresses, with a career that spans decades. She’s played the queen of the underworld, Hela, in Thor: Ragnarok, and the actual Queen Elizabeth. She’s an icon.

Which is why it was so shocking to see her playing the part of Janine, Nicholas Angel’s (Simon Peg) girlfriend in the movie Hot Fuzz. Turns out Blanchett was a fan of Sean of the Dead, and she has a wicked sense of humor.

We have to be honest. Christian Bale scares us just a teeny bit. Between his intense roles in American Psycho and the Batman franchise, he’s one of those super intense actors you don’t want to mess with.

Once upon a time, however, he played the happy-go-lucky, innocent deckhand Thomas in Pocahontas. How’s that for a complete 180?

Steve Buscemi is an actor’s actor. After he burst onto the scene with Reservoir Dogs, he’s been steadily working and racking awards along the way for his uncanny ability to elevate any piece of material to art.

Did you know he once had a role on Nickelodeon’s The Adventures of Pete and Pete as a guidance counselor? This is after Reservoir Dogs, even. See if you can find him at the 5:50 mark.

The Marvel super-creator has been doing cameos in Marvel movies for literally decades, but he rarely takes it upon himself to appear in other films.

Then came The Princess Diaries 2, where he played a very elegantly-dressed wedding guest.

Scarlett Johansson has had many roles over the past few years. She’s been a painter’s muse in Girl With the Pearl Earring, a sentient computer in Her, an enhanced human in Lucy.

She was also, once upon a time, the harried older sister of Kevin, the hero of the Home Alone franchise.

Ben Affleck is arguably one of the biggest stars on the planet right now. The guy has even played two different superheroes – Daredevil and Batman.

Then again, he got an early start in genre films when he starred in the 1992 movie version of Buffy the Vampire slayer as a freaked-out basketball player.

James Marsden is a Disney prince come to life, which is why he’s starred in such movies as Enchanted and X-Men and is currently the beautiful cowboy prototype on Westworld.

Way back in 1993, he was starring in another beloved program – The Nanny, where he played a love interest of Maggie Sheffield, one of Nanny Fine’s charges.

Jessica Alba has long made the transition from actor to entrepreneur – her company, The Honest Companyis valued at 1.4 billion.

But before she ever became the Dark Angel, or the badass girl boss she is now, Alba once acted as a bully on The Secret World of Alex Mack.

You may be familiar with Eric Stonestreet as the lovable Cam on Modern Family, but the actor has starred in serious roles as well.

To wit, he plays a neurotic man obsessed with a horrific urban legend that comes true in a twisted way in the first season of AHS: Murder House. Warning, the scene is very graphic. Like learning odd facts about your favorite celebs? Share this post with someone you know!
