Suspect in Pregnant Teen’s Murder Points Finger at Boyfriend

San Antonio law enforcement apprehended a father and his son on Wednesday for their involvement in the deaths of Savanah Soto and Matthew Guerra that had occurred toward the end of December.

Relatives of Savanah Soto, an 18-year-old pregnant woman, reported that her body and that of an adult male believed to be her boyfriend Mathew Guerra, 22, were discovered inside a vehicle in the 5900 block of Danny Kaye on Tuesday, December 26, 2023.

Christopher Preciado, aged 19, was indicted for capital murder. Concerning this case, his father, Ramon Preciado, was accused of mistreating a corpse.

The San Antonio Police reported that when they located Soto and Guerra’s remains in a car park at a Northwest Side apartment block on December 26th, they took a cellphone as a vital piece of evidence.

Based on the lead obtained from the cell phone, law enforcement officers were able to locate the vehicle that was spotted in the surveillance footage that the police had disseminated on Dec. 28.

When the officers got to the assumed spot of the suspect’s vehicle, they initiated surveillance.

The door was knocked on by police officers, and Ramon Preciado opened it and declared he was aware of why they had come to his residence, as reported by the San Antonio Police Department.

Police apprehended the father and his child and conducted an interrogation at the downtown police station.

The San Antonio Police Department reported that a warrant for the arrest of the suspects was authorized by a judge, after the details that were revealed during the questioning process.

Law enforcement reported that the fatalities were associated with a failed drug transaction, and Soto and Guerra lost their lives prior to the stroke of midnight on December 21.

Police have accused Christopher Preciado of being the only perpetrator in the case, while his father is alleged to have aided in concealing the victims’ remains.

The corpses were discovered on the 26th of December, however, investigators have not unearthed any link between that site and where the victims were slain.

Authorities have stated the bodies were transported and discarded after they had been murdered elsewhere.

This is to make sure they determine any possible additional charges due to the fact that Soto was pregnant and was close to delivering a baby at the time of her death.

Gabriel Guerra, the father of Guerra, and Jordan Corona, the brother of Soto, entreated prosecutors in a Thursday interview to pursue the death penalty for Christopher and Ramon.

Guerra expressed to KENS 5 that they could not accept any other option than the death penalty as being just.

Thus enabling Christopher Preciado to be charged with an additional count of capital murder for the death of baby Fabian, as reported by NBC News.

The District Attorney’s Office will not rush to a decision until the investigation is concluded, and the facts have been thoroughly reviewed, according to the statement.

The police reported that Christopher confessed to murdering the two young people, but stated that he had been trying to protect himself.

According to the arrest affidavit, the 19-year-old said Soto and Guerra had traveled to his residence in order to sell him cannabis when Guerra brandished a firearm.

Christopher said that he had grappled with Guerra for the firearm, resulting in the shooting of his pregnant partner and himself.

However, the police have said that the story does not match up with the headshot injuries that the couple endured.

It is said that Christopher’s father assisted in relocating the corpses, and the men were supposedly recorded by security cameras at the location.
