Euphoria actress Sydney Sweeney has opened up about struggling to afford her lifestyle, admitting “they don’t pay actors like they used to.”
In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter Sydney Sweeney shared that she was struggling for money despite her success, admitting she can’t afford to take time away from acting.

The actress, who shot to fame playing Cassie in the hit show Euphoria, highlighted that this is stopping her from plans to become a parent, in what she hoped would be the near future.
“I want to have a family, I’ve always wanted to be a young mom, and I’m worried about how this industry puts stigmas on young women who have children and looks at them in a different light,” she said.

“I was worried that, if I don’t work, there is no money and no support for kids I would have.”
She continued: “If I wanted to take a six-month break, I don’t have the income to cover that. I don’t have someone supporting me, I don’t have anyone I can turn to, to pay my bills or call for help.”

The 24-year-old explained that it’s not just easy money when you become a big name in the entertainment industry, there are lots of things you have to pay for to stay relevant in the public eye. And because of this, she’s not as financially stable as you’d expect.
So much so, that she’s had to take on brand deals in order to earn extra money to stay afloat while she’s in between jobs.

“They don’t pay actors like they used to, and with streamers, you no longer get residuals,” She said, revealing a list of some of the costs that come with being a star…
“The established stars still get paid, but I have to give 5 percent to my lawyer, 10 percent to my agents, 3 percent or something like that to my business manager. I have to pay my publicist every month, and that’s more than my mortgage.”

The award-winning actress added: “If I just acted, I wouldn’t be able to afford my life in LA. I take deals because I have to.”
That’s pretty shocking!
