Sydney Sweeney is the name on everyone’s lips lately.

Especially after her killer role as Cassie in Euphoria.

However, before her big break, Sweeney was actually in a lot of our favorite shows…

Some of these include Criminal Minds (2005), Grey’s Anatomy (2005), Heroes
(2006), Pretty Little Liars (2010), and 90210 (2008).

But that’s not all, she’s also been in a hit movie too…

She appeared in Quentin Tarantino’s Once Upon a Time… in Hollywood.

And what you might not know is that she’s also friends with Halsey and Machine Gun Kelly…

She’s even starred in their music videos!

Sweeney appeared in Halsey’s 2019 hit Graveyard, as well as MGK’s Downfalls High

Where she played the popular girl Scarlett.

It seems that she’s pretty close with MGK, and even revealed in a video with Elle UK that she’d trust him to give her a tattoo.

Now that’s some serious trust.

MGK clearly feels the same, as he opened up about her in a Buzzfeed’s Co-Star Test

Sharing that her dog, Tank, appeared in Downfalls High because he wanted her to stay later while filming.

Sweeney’s dog Tank is a huge part of her life outside of acting, and she actually got her from an animal shelter when she was seventeen.

Since then, Tank has appeared in a lot of her social media posts.

She has racked up millions of likes on her Instagram.

And currently has a whopping 14.4 million followers on the platform.

It’s clear Sweeney was made for the big screen…

Despite this, she admits to feeling “embarrassed” by her body growing up.

“I was embarrassed and I never wanted to change in the locker room.

“I think that I put on this weird persona other people had of me because of my body,” Sweeney remembered.

“I had boobs before other girls and I felt ostracized for it,” she explained.

Adding: “So I did play every sport and I studied really hard and I did everything that people wouldn’t think I would do, to show them that my body doesn’t define who I am.”

And that’s the same approach she took with acting…

That the women she plays are much more than just their bodies.

Sweeney told The Hollywood Reporter: “I fully trust in the filmmakers that I work with.

  via Getty Images

“And I’m always so excited for whatever [Euphoria creator] Sam [Levinson] writes.”

She added that she often gets so caught up with playing her character that she loses herself sometimes.

Explaining that “It’s as if it’s someone else’s life.”

She shared how fans often confuse her with her characters…

“People forget that I’m playing a character, they think, ‘Oh, she gets naked on screen, she’s a s*x symbol,'” Sweeney said.

“And I can’t get past that. I have no problems with those scenes, and I won’t stop doing them…

“But I wish there was an easier way to have an open conversation about what we’re assuming about actors in the industry,” she added.

Recently she opened up with GQ about “disgusting” trolls online that have been harassing her family…

According to the actress they have been sending her nude screenshots from Euphoria to her family members.

“It got to the point where they were tagging my family.

  via Getty Images

“My cousins don’t need that. It’s completely disgusting and unfair,” she said.

Sweeney’s character Cassie shot her into the spotlight…

But it’s clear some fans did not grasp what her character was all about.

There are disturbing parallels between Sweeney’s character and the way she’s being treated by trolls…

  via Getty Images

Something that Sweeney is well aware of.

“You have a character that goes through the scrutiny of being a s*xualized person at school and then an audience that does the same thing,” she said.

However, it seems this only pushes her to continue to do what she’s doing.

“I think it’s ridiculous. I’m an artist, I play characters.

  via Getty Images

“It makes me want to play characters that p*ss people off more,” Sweeney said.

It’s horrific what women in the industry have to go through.
