T.J. Holmes has filed for divorce from his wife following his public affair with co-host Amy Robach.
This comes after ABC announced they were conducting an internal review of their relationship.

Amy Robach and T.J. Holmes have garnered a lot of attention in the past couple of months following their alleged relationship that came public.
Since then, reports even suggested the pair left their current spouses to be with each other.
Their relationship has stirred up a lot of problems in their personal life and professional life, with their relationship being under review by the ABC president.
But before we take you into that story, let’s take a look at a brief history of the 2…
He’s been working at ABC News since September 2014.
His net worth currently stands at $5 million.
Holmes gained public attention whilst working for CNN as a news anchor for 5 years.
He spent Saturdays and Sundays as the weekend news anchor, where he dominated breaking news events.
Holmes anchored some pretty big stories throughout his career.
In 2006, he covered the story of Saddam Hussein’s execution.
He covered the story of terrorist attacks in Mumbai, India, in 2008 and at Glasgow airport in 2007.
He also anchored from ground zero to commemorate the 10th anniversary of the 9/11 terrorist attack.
Holmes also covered stories on the scene of some of the biggest events, including Jopling, Missouri tornado, the Deepwater Horizon oil spill in New Orleans, and the devastating shooting that took place on the Virginia Tech campus in Blacksburg, Virginia.
But before he landed the news anchor role at CNN, Holmes had previously worked at NBC, where he also found himself covering some big stories.
While working for NBC, he traveled to Athens, where he covered the 2004 Olympics, the first summer game held after the 9/11 attack.
Holmes also went on to anchor other big news stories that garnered national attention.
Since then, he became a recognizable face to appear on our TV.
And so did his co-anchor, Amy Robach.

She’s also a reporter for ABC News, co-anchor of 20/20, and the breaking news anchor/fill-in anchor for Good Morning America.
She served as a national correspondent for NBC News and co-hosted NBC’s Today on Saturdays.
She’s also been an anchor for MSNBC.
Robach attended Brookwood High School in Snellville, Georgia.
She then went on to study at the University of Georgia, where she earned herself a degree in broadcast journalism.
She also attended Grady College of Journalism and Mass Communication.
Since then, she appeared on numerous news programs as a news anchor.
Robach, as well as David Muir, have been the co-anchors of 20/20 since May 2018.
But before becoming a news anchor for ABC News…
Robach began her career working for WCBD in back 1995.
By 1999, she left the station and began working at WTTG in Washington, D.C.
She then later moved to MSNBC, where she worked for 4 years, including a time when she was the morning anchor for 2 hours and a substitute on Weekend Today, Countdown with Keith Olbermann, and Morning Joe.
But whilst appearing on our television when giving the morning news, there’s been a lot going on behind the cameras amongst her colleagues…
It was reported that she and T.J. Holmes had something going on.
And it has been kept a secret — until now.
This comes after they were training together for the New York City half marathon.
The source said the pair were spotted “canoodling” in bars near ABC News back in May.
According to one employee, the couple has gone to extreme lengths to hide their affair.
“They have a very cozy relationship on air, but that is what is expected. But they were very careful behind the scenes to keep their affair secret. The producers at ‘GMA’ are shocked to hear they are having an affair,” the source explained.
New photos published by the Daily Mail showed Robach and Holmes recently cozying up to each other…
And at one point they were even holding hands during various outings in upstate New York and around the city.
As per the media outlet, 2 weeks before Thanksgiving, the co-anchors went on a getaway to a remote cottage where Holmes was seen grabbing Robach’s butt as she leaned into the trunk of a car.
Insiders also told the Daily Mail that the ABC staff was “buzzing about the intimacy between them” while they were in England in June for the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee.
Sources told the media outlet that Robach and her husband, as well as Holmes and his wife, Marilee Fiebig, went their separate ways in August.
TMZ then revealed that the pair will be taken off of Good Morning America.
Network sources have called the relationship an “internal and external distraction.”
ABC News’ President, Kim Godwin, said: “I want to say that while that relationship is not a violation of company policy, I have really taken the last few days to think about and work through what I think is best for the ABC News organization.”
“This is something I’m not going to talk, we’re not going to talk about on this call until there is more to be said. I’m asking that we stop the whispering in the hallways. You know, we can’t operate with gossip, and speculation and rumors. We need to stay focused on the work.
“If you think there is something that management needs to know, you can always call HR or, as we’ve said, talk to a manager that you trust. If you think there is something that we need to know,” she concluded.
TMZ then reported that ABC is looking into the affair.
The network wants to find out if the 2 violated any company policies during their relationship.
This would include “using company resources, like vehicles or drivers, to meet romantically … or pressuring staffers to keep the relationship on the DL.”
But now sources have confirmed to TMZ that the pair are still “very much together.”
They’re just avoiding going out in public to minimize attention.
But we’re not sure that’ll work!
Talks about the alleged romance between the 2 are still going around, with Gayle King even weighing in on the situation.
During an appearance on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen, King was asked to share her opinion on everything that’s going on with Holme’s and Robach’s alleged affair situation.
“Oh gosh, of all the questions I was hoping you would not talk about,” she said, as per People.
“I mean, I look at the situation and I do say it’s very interesting what’s happening over there.
“It’s just gotten very messy and very sloppy. I do think that.
“You know, because in the beginning I actually thought — listen, good on Good Morning America, they’re saying that they’re not taking them off the air, two consenting adults. But then the more you read, it’s just very messy.”
She added: “To me, it’s a sad situation because you’ve got kids involved, you’ve got families involved, and I keep thinking about that. I’m very concerned about that.”
TMZ has reported that Robach and Holmes won’t be showing their faces on TV due to ABC making a full review of their relationship before they are brought back on the air.
The president of ABC news, Kim Godwin, sent out an email to all ABC staff, updating them on Holmes and Robach’s situation.
The email read: “I want to take a moment to address the on-going matter involving GMA3 anchors T.J. Holmes and Amy Robach.
“I understand that the continuing coverage can be distracting from the incredibly important work our team does here at ABC News.”
The email continued: “Amy and T.J. will remain off-air pending the completion of an internal review, and there will be a rotation of anchors at GMA3 for the time being.
“It is my hope that we will continue to focus our energy on what we do best, and I want all of you to know how immensely proud I am of your hard work and professionalism.”
Since then, T.J. Holmes has filed for divorce from Marilee Fiebig.
The filling comes after Holmes and Robach were seen at Atlanta airport…
Reportedly taking a break in Georgia together for New Year.
According to the document obtained by US Weekly, Holmes filed for divorce in New York City on December 28.
Neither of the two has publically addressed their affair as of yet.
