Seven people have tragically died following a plane crash in Tennessee.

One of those on board was the legendary actor, Joe Lara.


Who famously played Tarzan in Tarzan: The Epic Adventures...

Lara was famous for his TV days.

Where he played the king of the jungle between 1996 and 2000 starring as Tarzan for a total of 22 episodes.

He also starred in the TV movie years prior.

He had 28 separate credits to his name.

Including Steel Frontier, Sunset Heat, Gunsmoke: The Last Apache, American Cyborg: Steel Warrior, The Magnificent Seven, Baywatch and Topical Heat.

Also killed in the crash was Lara's wife, Christian diet guru, Gwen Lara.

And others, Jennifer J. Martin, David L. Martin, Jessica Walters, Jonathan Walters, and Brandon Hannah, all of whom are locals and reported to be part of the same church.

โ€‹The plane crashed not long after take-off.ย 

The private jet, reported to be a Cessna 501, took off from Smyrna Airport, just outside of Nashville, and was reportedly headed toward Palm Beach, Florida.

โ€‹However it crashed intoย Percy Priest Lake not too long after take-off.

Fire and rescue teams were dispatched to the area immediately.

But after an all night operation...

Authorities confirmed that those in the plane had deceased...

Their families were notified.

And an investigation is currently underway to determine the cause of the crash.

Tributes have been pouring in following the crash.

Lana's wife, Gwen, is famous for founding the Remnant Fellowship Church.

The Christian fitness guru also founded the Weigh Down Workshop.

โ€‹The Weight Down Workshop was a weight loss program popular during the 80s and 90s.

The program involves 'turning to God' to take away the desire to overeat...

Joe and Gwen leave behind two children.

He was 58 and she was 66.
