Twilight famed star Taylor Lautner recently got engaged but his soon-to-be wife’s soon-to-be name may be super awkward, not for just them, but for everyone.
Taylor Lautner surprised fans when he announced his engagement, and now the star actor is gearing up for getting hitched.
But recent revelations about his fiancée’s name has caused a division among fans, and even drawn a reaction from Lautner himself.

Lautner quickly rose to fame back in 2008 when he played the seductive Jacob Black in The Twilight Saga film series.
But that isn’t where his career began…
In fact, his first well-known role was in The Adventures of Sharkboy and Lavagirl.

He also starred in the classic Disney movie, Cheaper by the Dozen 2.
Where he played Elliot, a young boy from the Murtaugh family who are Tom Baker’s infamous rivals in the Annual Labor Day Family Cup.
But, of course, it’s Twilight that made him a household name.
But, after starring in the 5 Twilight movies, his career went slightly downhill…
As his film Abduction was a commercial and critical failure…
And so was his 2015 film The Ridiculous 6, but still the paparazzi kept a close eye on his love life in the years to follow.
It’s no surprise Lautner made headlines after meeting his then-girlfriend Taylor Swift on the set of Valentine’s Day…
They instantly hit it off and briefly began dating.
The singer also wrote a song about their relationship…
When Lautner was asked if the song was about him during a 2016 Facebook live stream, he said: “Yeah. It’s called Back to December.”
While he’s kept details about his other past romances out of the public eye, Lautner has spoken about love during a few interviews over the years.
“Honesty and loyalty are key,” he told The Hollywood Reporter in November 2012.
“If two people can be honest with each other about everything, that’s probably the biggest key to success. I like to think of myself as very loyal, and I love everyone I surround myself with, whether they’re friends or girlfriends or whatever. I love loyal people,” said the actor.

Although he admitted he wanted to do “it big” when it came to planning the perfect proposal, he actually proposed to his girl at their home.
The leading lady in Lautner’s life is reportedly a nurse and has been dating the actor since 2018.
“She always has said ‘I don’t want anything special. I don’t want anything big and grand. Do it in the kitchen. I love cooking so I make us food all the time in the kitchen and we just eat at the counter.’
“One night after we eat in the kitchen [propose], that’s all I want. Simple,” he continued.
The actor went on to explain how he added his own touch to the proposal.
“I did it big in the kitchen,” Lautner added.
But this is where the cuteness just begins, as he went on to explain the full layout of what the proposal included…
“She was away and I got tons of flowers and candles and a sign. So she came home at the end of the day, after a long day of work, and walked into that. It was a lovely surprise. It actually did take her a little longer than expected to say “yes” because she was weeping so hard,” he recalled.
It came as a surprise for his 8 million followers online, as he shared a photograph with the sweetest caption.
“11.11.2021. And just like that, all of my wishes came true,” he captioned his Instagram post.
Clearly breaking the hearts of many fans…
But then his fianceé took to Instagram and wrote: “My absolute best friend.”
“I CANNOT WAIT TO SPEND FOREVER WITH YOU,” she captioned the gorgeous photo from their special night.
But it was Lautner’s response to the caption that melted our hearts…
“Got news for you, the feeling is mutual,” the actor wrote.
Well, that pretty much sums up how the lovebirds feel about each, and Lautner couldn’t help but gush about the proposal in several other interviews too.
He discussed the big day during an appearance a few months back on The Kelly Clarkson Show.
Clarkson was quick to congratulate the star while also added: “I love that you have the neon sign like, ‘Are you into this last name?’” Clarkson said.
To which, Lautner replied: “It was complicated.”
Fans were understandably over the moon about the engagement, but there was one particular focus…
“Errr, what you gonna do about the name?” one person commented.
His partner’s name after they get married was on everyone’s mind…
“Do you realize what that’s going to be like?” another added, with a laughing emoji.
But the overall feeling was pure joy for the couple…

Lautner later explained to the host that he and his fiancée like to keep things simple and a little complicated when it comes to what they refer to each other.
He elaborated that he goes by his full first name, whereas Dome goes by “Tay.”
“Or a lot of people just [say] ‘boy Tay’ and ‘girl Tay,’” Lautner added.
But then he revealed something which could be a concern for the lovely couple.
“Cause we already share one name, so it’s going to be extra complicated,” the actor confessed.
“We’re literally going to be the same person,” he said.
