This week, while she’s captivating London with her Wembley shows, Swift dropped a revamped version of her song “thanK you aIMee.”

Initially, fans speculated that the original title was a jab at Kim Kardashian, given the capitalized letters spelled “KIM.”

However, in the latest digital update of her album *The Tortured Poets Department*, the track’s title has been adjusted to “thank You aimEe.”

Now, the capital letters in the song spell out “Ye,” a clear nod to Kanye West, who legally changed his name to Ye in 2021.

This change comes just days after *The Tortured Poets Department* celebrated its 14th week atop the Billboard 200 chart, keeping West’s new album, *Vultures 2*, from hitting the number one spot.

The ongoing feud between Swift and West dates back to 2009, when West famously interrupted Swift’s acceptance speech at the VMAs.

West, protesting Swift’s win for Best Female Video, claimed Beyoncé deserved the award instead.

Despite a brief period of seeming reconciliation in 2014 when Swift presented West with the Vanguard Award at the VMAs, tensions simmered beneath the surface.

In a candid Rolling Stone interview, Swift revealed feeling “chilled” by West’s duplicitous behavior and refusal to meet him backstage.

“I realized he is so two-faced,” Swift recounted. “He wants to be nice to me behind the scenes, but then he wants to look cool, get up in front of everyone and talk s***.”

The feud reignited in 2016 with West’s controversial track “Famous,” featuring the line, “I feel like me and Taylor Swift might still have sex/ Why? I made that b**** famous.”

Swift’s team immediately refuted claims that she had approved the lyrics, asserting that West only sought her promotion for the song, not her consent for the explicit content.

This controversy, paired with a public backlash branding Swift a “snake,” led the singer to retreat from the limelight.

“My career was taken away from me,” Swift reflected during her Time Person of the Year 2023 interview.

Now, Swift is back in London, performing a second round of shows at Wembley Stadium.

Her latest set includes a surprising nod to her ex-boyfriend Joe Alwyn, adding another layer to her already eventful London stint.

The retitling of “thanK you aIMee” to “thank You aimEe” is not just a minor change; it’s a strategic and pointed reference to her long-standing nemesis, Ye.

Fans are eagerly dissecting the meaning behind the shift, with many interpreting it as a direct message to Kanye West amid her ongoing chart success.
