Taylor Swift might have a busy schedule, but some fans still aren’t here for her private jet usage.

The star’s boyfriend Travis Kelce and his Kansas City Chiefs are headed to the Super Bowl once again!
Sunday’s victory

Patrick Mahomes’ squad played in a nail biter on Sunday, taking the win over the Baltimore Ravens on their home field.

His girlfriend was right by his side cheering him on from a suite along with a lot of his family, including his brother, Jason Kelce.

Unfortunately, as they make their way to Las Vegas for the big game, Kelce’s good luck charm might not be in the stands.
Taylor’s dilemma…

Obviously, Travis isn’t the only superstar in the relationship, so balancing schedules can be rough.

While Swift has managed to make it to 11 of her boyfriend’s games since the start of their relationship in 2023, she still has her own obligations to consider.

Taylor is currently in the midst of her Eras Tour, the sixth global world tour of her career.

The Super Bowl will be held on Sunday, February 11–just one day after Swift plays a show in Japan.

The singer also has the Australian leg of The Eras Tour just four days after the big game, another location where time zones are completely flipped.

The singer owns two private jets, so it’s possible that she jumps right on the plane after her performance in Japan.

A direct flight from Japan to Las Vegas, where the Super Bowl is being held, would take Swift just under 12 hours.

That time in the air is nothing to scoff at, but luckily, time zones are on her side.

Her concert starts at 6pm and should probably finish around 9pm local time in Japan.

With the time difference, she would finish her show at 1am local time the day before the Super Bowl in Vegas.
An interesting twist

As outlets point out that Swift will likely use one of her planes to make it to Vegas in time, the singer has actually parted ways with one of her private jets.
The Federal Aviation Authority’s website confirmed the singer’s separation from her Dassault Falcon 900 on January 30.

This leaves the singer with just one private jet.

The Dassault 900 is capable of accommodating up to 12 passengers and served Swift until its last recorded flight on Jan. 30. Meanwhile, her Dassault 7X, which has a slightly larger cabin and capacity for 16 passengers, remains operational.

Taylor offloading one of her jets comes amid growing criticism for environmental concerns.
In 2022, she topped a list of celebrities with the highest private-jet carbon emissions

In 2023, her jets logged more than 166 flight hours during her US tour!

While responding to these concerns from fans, Swift’s spokesperson revealed the singer’s purchase of carbon credits to offset her jet usage.
Under a magnifying glass…

College student Jack Sweeney, who is known for tracking celebrity flights, has drawn attention to Swift’s carbon emissions after sharing the singer’s flight data on social media.

Swift’s legal team ended up intervening, sending Sweeney a cease-and-desist letter and accusing the college student of “stalking and harassing behavior.”

In response, Sweeney didn’t back down, defending his actions by pointing out that everything he’s posting to social media is public information.
“I think the people are interested,” Sweeney said.

He continued, “You should have a decent expectation that your jet will be tracked whether or not I do it as, after all, it is public information.”
