Since Taylor Swift first appeared at a Kansas City Chiefs game on September 24, fans have been eager to see more of her relationship with the team’s star tight end. In the months since, she’s been spotted supporting Kelce multiple times, and he made his way to Argentina to support his girlfriend in concert.

Following the end of her Eras show in Argentina, the “Cruel Summer” singer was seen running off-stage into Travis’ arms, giving the baller a big kiss on the cheek. Videos of the sweet interaction quickly made their way across social media, and more headlines about their relationship were there to follow.

Now, Hilarie Burton is weighing in on their relationship, insisting that the couple will be engaged before this time next year.
She took to X–the social media platform previously known as Twitter–to let fans know just how quickly she predicts Kelce will propose.
“They are gonna have the most flannel lined, pie and red ribbon kinda Christmas,” she wrote. “…and then these babies are gonna be engaged by May.”

In addition to her prediction, Burton also reposted a video from a fan account showing Travis’ reaction to his girlfriend changing the lyrics of her song to pay tribute to their relationship.
At her concert in Argentina on November 11, Swift changed the lyrics of her track, “Karma” to reflect their union, singing, “Karma is the guy on the Chiefs, coming straight home to me.”

While watching Taylor’s performance from the VIP tent with Swift’s dad, Travis could be seen blushing after hearing the lyric change. After that, he was seen happily dancing to the rest of the song, smiling as he enjoyed the concert with the rest of the crowd.
When one user on social media commented that the lyric swap proved Swift and Kelce are “for real,” Burton–who has been married to Jeffrey Dean Morgan since 2019–drew a comparison to her own relationship.

Burton went on to note that some of Swift’s exes likely “made her feel like she had to downplay” her success, emphasizing the important of “Get[ting] a man who lights up when you win.”
Burton’s husband is getting in on the fun, too
Following his wife’s passionate pleas for Travis and Taylor to tie the knot, Dean Morgan chimed in on the situation. Of course, he echoed his wife’s support for their relationship, also adding that he loves how into their union his Hilarie is.
“I do love how invested my wife is in this relationship! And as far as Taylor and Travis? Good for them,” he tweeted. “Happy for both of em. I know that feeling they have right now… I’ve had it for 15 years, and It’s a good one.”
This isn’t the first time Burton has expressed her support for the new couple
Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift were first linked back in September. Fans started to root for their relationship after Kelce confessed on his New Heights podcast that he wanted to give a friendship bracelet with his phone number on it with Swift at her Eras Tour concert in Kansas City in July.
Though the pair didn’t cross paths that night, Kelce later invited the singer to see him and the Kansas City Chiefs play when the NFL season began. After hearing this detail, Burton thought Travis’ invitation was a major green flag.
“Pro tip…you deserve someone who invites you to work with them,” the actress tweeted at the time. “It shows: 1. They think you’re so awesome & they want everyone from buddies to the boss to meet you. 2. They work hard & they’re GOOD, & they want you to see that. Flew to see JDM on a set 14 yrs ago. #kelceswift💖.”
Burton was onto something when she mentioned the fact that Kelce must think Swift is awesome. Over the course of their budding relationship, he hasn’t been shy about praising his girlfriend for just how big of a deal she really is.
In a new cover story with WSJ Magazine published this week, he does even more praising. During his interview with the publication, the footballer discussed how their relationship began and talked about his growing admiration for Swift.
In his interview, Kelce even revealed how the two of them really ended up meeting. After their missed connection at her Arrowhead concert in July, it came to his attention that people in Swift’s circle were “playing Cupid.”
“There were definitely people she knew that knew who I was, in her corner,” he said. “She told me exactly what was going on and how I got lucky enough to get her to reach out.”
Travis even ended up getting an assist from Swift’s family, who he managed to impress at one of his games.
“She’ll probably hate me for saying this, but … when she came to Arrowhead, they gave her the big locker room as a dressing room and her little cousins were taking pictures in front of my locker,” he explained.
Since the couple started dating, the football star said his friends have cautioned him to not doing anything to mess up their relationship, so he’s tried to limit what he says to the media.
“That was the biggest thing to me: make sure I don’t say anything that would push Taylor away,” he admitted.
Kelce went on to speak about their similarities, which he began to notice once he actually started to get to know the singer. In particular, the tight end shared how their love of family and approach to work are aligned.
“Her team is her family,” he said. “Her family does a lot of stuff in terms of the tour, the marketing, being around, so I think she has a lot of those values as well, which is right up my alley.”
Kelce recently got to see the pop star on tour in Buenos Aires, which he also talked about in the interview. He revealed that he’s a big fan of 1989 and was eager to hear its lead single, “Blank Space” live.
The athlete also couldn’t help but gush about how “hilarious” Swift is, calling her “a genius.”
“Being around her, seeing how smart Taylor is, has been … mind-blowing,” he said. “I’m learning every day.”
Travis went on to say that Taylor is also showing him how to handle the massive increase in attention. While Kelce was already famous before their relationship, the attention he got was nothing compared to the eyes their union has gotten.
“Obviously I’ve never dated anyone with that kind of aura about them,” he admitted. “I’ve never dealt with it. But at the same time, I’m not running away from any of it …”
“The scrutiny she gets, how much she has a magnifying glass on her, every single day … and she’s just living, enjoying life,” Kelce said about his girlfriend. “When she acts like that I better not be the one acting all strange.”
Taylor and Travis have been inseparable ever since
Since Swift’s first appearance at Kelce’s game back in September, the pair have been inseparable, so it’s safe to say Hilarie Burton isn’t the only one who thinks the couple could be engaged soon.
