You always remember those teachers that made an impact on your life. Usually it's in a positive way by serving as an example of compassion and professionalism, teaching you more than just those things you can learn from a book.
Then there are those you remember because, well, they were horrible and didn't act like they wanted to be teaching at all. That's the case for Reddit user Johnny_Provolone who was berated and bullied by his algebra teacher throughout his senior year — until he decided to put an end to it.
He was only eighteen when it all happened, and went on to graduate with the class of 2001, but is now sharing his story almost sixteen years later.
