“This can’t be our biggest concern right now, can it? #frenchopen,” said one person.

“So, Vlad can bring a virus or disease into a country to play Tennis but a woman wearing a dress is a problem??” another person questioned.

The tennis player, who is the world’s number thirty, was spoken to not because of the dress she wore, but because of the logo, she advertised.

What’s wrong with the logo? You may be wondering…

Well, there’s nothing wrong with the actual logo she’s advertising per se…

But, according to the New York Post, there was something wrong with the size of the logo.

The tennis player’s logo advertised the kitchen brand DeLonghi, which sells kitchen home appliances.

Giorgi, who played against Aryna Sabalenka yesterday, was spoken to by the Umpire before their match.

The Umpire told Giorgi there was an issue with the size of the logo being advertised on her dress.

“I don’t have any change, this is my only dress. I played with it before,” the Tennis player reportedly said.

Jose Morgado, the game’s commentator, then said that the official let her play the game, where she upset Sabalenka  4-6, 6-1, 6-0, but would have to take the conversation up with the office after the match was completed.

Although the tennis player had said she has donned the dress in a match previous to The French Open…

The problem didn’t lie with the dress, but the logo, which was not advertised in her previous match.

Back in 2018, after Serena Williams wore her black “catsuit”, the French Tennis Federation began to take the dress code more seriously.

The French Tennis Federation president, Bernard Giudicelli, said: “I think that sometimes we’ve gone too far,” as per a 2018 article from The Guardian.

“One must respect the game and the place,” he continued on expressing that there will be “limits” to what you can and cannot wear.

And although it doesn’t seem as though Giorgi’s dress itself is a problem…

She is in hot water for the logo size she advertized on the dress.
