A woman has shared shocking photos of her car in a "block of ice" as the snowstorms and freezing temperatures continue to hit Texas and other southern states.
Here's the full story...
Right now, a winter storm is wreaking havoc in numerous southern U.S states...
But Texas is perhaps the worst affected.
According to The Guardian, professionals have noted that the heating of the arctic may be to blame for this chaotic change in the weather.
Especially for the snowstorms that have been affecting the people of Texas.
They explained the situation:
"[Experts claim] there is evidence that the rapid heating of the Arctic can help push frigid air from the north pole much further south, possibly to the US-Mexico border."
Things have gotten so bad in the last few weeks that people have been forced to evacuate their homes...
And due to the addition of heavy snowstorms and below-freezing temperatures, the state has been left completely powerless in most areas.
And not only that, but twenty-three deaths have been reported so far.

As temperatures continue to fall, this number is sadly set to rise.
Texans are doing their best to push through this difficult period...
We are deploying plainclothes officers in unmarked vehicles across the city looking for anyone burglarizing residences or businesses during power outages. But with little to no options, some have been forced to make do with what they've got.
People have been taking to social media to share their bizarre new living situations during the unbearable temperatures...

Including Twitch streamer Edwin Castro, who has been playing video games and streaming in the comfort of his car due to the power cuts.
This Twitter user shared this shocking photo of their fan...

As a Texan, yes, I'm certainly not built for this. I don't even care. pic.twitter.com/FMt8imglJp
That had literally frozen to the ceiling and had icicles dangling down from it.
This is something that hasn't been experienced in decades...
It’s so cold in my Texas town that this container of snow has been sitting in my garage for 2 days and has not melted 😬 pic.twitter.com/60lFBcQXTH— LoLo (@kacchanluvsdeku) February 17, 2021
And right now, people aren't quite sure what to do.
Because Texas is usually a very warm state...
Yes, I'm in Texas. Yes, we arent used to super cold temperatures. But I've never seen my pool starting to freeze. pic.twitter.com/DUcttqLWkv— 𝐓𝐇𝐎𝐌𝐀𝐒 𝐁𝐋𝐀𝐂𝐊 ☩ (@ThomasBlackGG) February 15, 2021
And people are feeling very unnerved seeing their swimming pools become completely frozen over.
Who knows how long this nightmare will last...
But sadly, it seems as if things are nowhere near close to returning back to normal.
And now, one woman has gained viral fame after she showed how badly the storm has affected her...
And her car.
TikTok user, Kiana Vance from Dallas, Texas, shared the devastating consequence of leaving her car parked under a leaking pipe in an underground parking lot...
Which, in these freezing conditions, was nothing short of dire.
People couldn't believe what they were seeing...
On the incident, Kiana explained to BuzzFeed:
"Before the ice storm, I parked this car on the top level of my apartment parking garage and stopped driving it because I got a new car... Little did I know, the pipe above the car burst right when the storm hit, and nobody told me that it was leaking on my car."
Here's what her car looked like.
And, to rub salt into the wound, the rest of the 7-floor parking lot remained unfrozen in comparison. Ouch.
Kiana only discovered her car's sorry fate after seeing it on the news.
"I found out about it when I saw it on the news because I have been driving my other car that's located on a different floor of the garage. It's still frozen. I'm going to just wait for it to thaw out before doing anything that might damage the car more."
But yesterday, she provided an update on the thawing process.

After 2 days of thawing, the ice has melted considerably, but the car still remains frozen.
I suppose only time will tell if the poor vehicle will ever be freed from it's icy prison. Good luck, Kiana!
