A mom from Texas who shot and killed a home intruder will not face any charges.

It’s no secret that gun control laws have been slack for far too long, meaning that we have endured a disgracefully high number of mass shootings.

For years now, there have been repeated calls for stricter gun laws…

But those calls have only got stronger following a sickening spike in mass shootings across the country as now, more than ever before, people are desperate to see change.

But, despite the increasing calls to see stricter gun laws, some people argue that carrying or owning guns helps them to feel safer.

And that brings us back to today’s story…

A mom from Texas who shot and killed a home intruder will not face any charges for the incident.

The intruder broke into the mom’s home while her 3 children were asleep.

According to KSAT, the incident took place on April 28th at around 10 pm in San Antonio.

The man, who was later named as Roman Rodriguez, attempted to break into the house through the laundry room.

The mom reportedly heard noise and after grabbing a weapon, she opened fire.

After shooting Rodriguez twice, he was found by police sitting on a chair in the backyard.

Rodriguez later died of his wounds while on the way to hospital.

An investigation into the incident is currently underway.

However, LADbible reports that according to News 4 San Antonio, the mom will not face charges for the shooting.

The mom will not face charges for the incident under the Castle Doctrine law.

Castle Doctrine reportedly gives a person the right to use force against an intruder or someone who is breaking into their home.

Texas is the only state in the US to allow fatal force under the law, the outlet reports.

Nobody else involved in the incident was injured.
