I also love that this shovel has a slightly curved handle so that you don’t have to bend or lean to use it. My back is absolutely grateful.
The POWER
I was browsing through this listing and saw the phrase “moves 300 lbs of snow per minute” and I lost my entire mind because that’s buckwild. I’m not the only one who loves it:

For small spaces
I personally don’t have huge areas that I need to clean with my electric shovel, so I’m pretty excited about this option from Greenworks. It’s only 12 inches wide, but it still has the power to throw snow far out of the way. I like that it’s easy to maneuver, lightweight, compact, and easy to store.
If you don’t have huge swathes to cover, this is a great option at a lower price point that still gets the job done perfectly well.
The Big Guy
If we’re being completely technical here, this entry on our list is a snow thrower, not an electric snow shovel. But it’s a tool for getting the snow off your driveway and so it belongs here. Plus it’s absolutely fantastic if you have a lot of ground to cover and need to get it done with ease.
This thrower can manage snow that’s 13 inches deep. You may not think that’s that much snow, but let me tell you: that’s too much snow. Having an easy way to get it where you want it is a lifesaver during huge blizzards. If you live somewhere with big snowfalls (see: Minnesota), this option is a must.
The Greenworks option
There are two brands that keep popping up when you’re looking at electric snow shovels: Greenworks and Snow Joe. Our last entry was Snow Joe, and here we have the equivalent Greenworks option. One of the reasons I love this one is because you can adjust the chute that throws the snow anywhere along a 180 degree pivot.
It’s quiet, it’s easy to maneuver, it’s lightweight, and it’s got a simple push button to start. It takes all the hassle out of dealing with big snowfalls.
Heavy duty
Our next option is all about solid construction and power. It’s got a sturdy build that can get through any snow, and move 490 pounds of snow per minute. You read that right. 490. I didn’t think it was possible, but here we are.
For all that, every review mentioned that it’s still lightweight and easy to use. No need to get into a fight with the snow: this machine just slides right on through.
Fast and efficient
This battery-operated shovel gives you only 30 minutes of runtime, but that’s all you need. It weighs less than 12 pounds, and it moves fast. In one battery charge, it can get through 2025 pounds of snow, which is enough for most walkways, patios, or decks.
Plus it’s so quiet. You’ll be comfortable and happy the whole time you’re operating it.
A trusted brand
If you’re a fan of Toro products, you’ll be happy to know that they’ve dipped a toe in the electric shovel market. Their entry is one of the smaller options, but don’t let that fool you. It will still cut through snow quickly.
This particular option focuses on adjustable features so that you can be comfortable while you use it. You can adjust the height, the angle, and the height of the second handle. You’ll find the perfect set up to use it with ease.
Low cost, high reward
Earthwise has offered a really great product that is less than $70 with this little snow thrower. At one point a snowblower was a huge commitment with a major price tag, but now you can enter the game without spending half your paycheck. You’ll still get the great benefits of a thrower that cuts through snow with ease.
If you want a first time snow thrower or just want to see what it’s like, this is a fantastic entry level product.
