Here’s a confession: I have a LOT of makeup. Half of it I never use, but that will absolutely never stop me from buying more. With all this makeup, I need somewhere to put it. Even more than that, I need approximately one million small bags and cases for the times I’m traveling, out all day, or just need to have makeup on my person.
So it’s no surprise that I’ve spent some time finding the absolute best makeup cases and bags to match any situation. If you’re in need of a bag (or two or three) for your next makeup excursion, keep on scrolling. I promise there’s one that will meet your needs.
A place for everything
This is one of my favorite styles of makeup bags. It’s got a lot of structure and plenty of compartments and pouches so that all of your goodies have a place to live. There’s a whole section set aside for brushes, which is absolutely what I need. You can also move the dividers around to create your ideal set up.
This bag would be great for travel since it holds so much and has a carrying strap.
Organized and clean

This case is so much fun. It’s got beautiful florals on the outside and fun stripes on the inside, plus plenty of organizational pockets and dividers. My favorite feature of this one is that it has a detachable mirror, so that no matter where you are you can touch up your makeup.
Particularly portable
Our next case is a little bit smaller than the first options, which I think makes it a great idea if you’re planning to do your makeup at a friend’s house or need some products on hand during a long day.
Even with the smaller size it still has removable dividers, a mirror, and a section for brushes. I love having the option to use a smaller case when I don’t need all of my products.
TONS of space in a small package
This bag feels a little bit like a TARDIS: I’d swear it’s bigger on the inside. From the outside it looks relatively small and compact, but once you start opening up pockets you realize there is a ton of storage space in here. It’s even got a hook so that you can hang it up if you’re traveling and have all your toiletries easily accessible. It’s a great option when you don’t want to take up too much of your suitcase but you absolutely need all five of your palettes.
A tiny backpack
I can’t deny that this cosmetic case makes me squeal a little bit with how cute it is. It turns into a tiny backpack! Look at it!
It’s also go three layers of storage: one with dividers for things like lipsticks, foundation, and mascara, one set of pockets for your brushes, and one area for your palettes. Functional and adorable.
Foldable and full of surprises
This cosmetic case is specifically for travel, and it holds a lot more than just makeup. It’s the perfect solution for all your toiletries as well. It folds up so that it doesn’t take tons of space, but when you reach your destination just unroll it and you have all your items easily visible and organized.
I love these patterns!
A lot of makeup bags are pretty bland: a solid color, maybe something a little bit bright. This one is anything but bland. There are tons of exciting patterns (I’m personally fond of the elephants) to spice up your style. On top of that it has all the functionality you need.
Big and bold
Lots of us like to keep our hair products and our makeup products in the same place, and most makeup cases don’t make that easy. This big boy gives you plenty of space if you want to pop your curler or straightener in there along with your makeup.
It has fewer pockets and dividers than some of the other cases, but if you need more space to fit in all your goodies, that works in your favor.
A stellar setup
I am absolutely in love with the fact that this case has straps so that you can keep it propped open while you work. That way you can easily see and access all your products as you do your makeup.
