‘The Ellen Show’ Producers Respond to Rumors the Show Is Canceled

Ellen DeGeneres hasn’t had the best of years, what with all the sinister rumors and stories from people who have met her finally coming to light. But now, as the ratings for The Ellen Show dwindle, reports have been coming in regarding the bleak future of her once successful show.

But now the producers have responded to those rumors in a shocking statement…

Though she has built her on-screen persona around being outspoken against injustice and generous to the needy, many people have claimed that, in real life, she is quite the opposite.

Which is certainly a far cry from the relatable and humble TV host we all know and love… Or we thought we knew and loved.

Cracks have certainly begun to show, and rumors of the somewhat nastier personality behind the famous smiling blonde-haired, blue-eyed face have been intensifying.

And, for many years now, a number of different former employees have been attempting to expose Ellen for who she truly is.

Her behavior is shocking, and now, more horror stories have surfaced that have had a huge impact on her ratings…

This Twitter user came forward with the story about Ellen’s head writer, Karen Kilgariff. Karen was under Ellen’s employment for 5 years until she took part in a writer’s strike. Boom. Fired. And a word was never exchanged between the pair again.

This woman claims that her friend used to work as a writer on the show and, in the whole 2 years of her employment, Ellen didn’t greet her once. In fact, none of the staff were allowed to speak to the star of the show. Apparently.

Staff weren’t even allowed in the same room as her.

Wow, we really aren’t worthy, are we?

For a colleague’s birthday, Twitter user Alison Freer was celebrating with a BBQ outside of the Warner Bros studios where The Ellen Show is filmed. However, Ellen was quick to shut down all the festivities by sending someone over to put a stop to the celebration, all because she doesn’t eat meat. Not cool, Ellen.

Ellen has notoriously sucked up to the rich and famous for years, and apparently she wants to keep them all for herself. When Russell Brand wandered into the employee break area to chat with the crew, Ellen apparently got quite irritated and told him that he “doesn’t have to interact with these people.”

I’m sorry, but there isn’t enough money in the world that would ever encourage me to do that. Thank you, next.

Ellen has come under fire for her handling of the ongoing protests and riots regarding the death of George Floyd.

But, in doing so, she sparked a whole lot of outrage.

In a tweet that has since been deleted, Ellen said: “Like so many of you, I am angry and I am sad. People of color in this country have faced injustice for far too long. For things to change, things must change. We must commit ourselves to this change with conviction and with love.”

The term “colored” or “people of color” is incredibly dated and somewhat insensitive, and many have quickly criticized the star for using such tone-deaf jargon when talking about such a sensitive topic.

And many have found Ellen not referencing it in her tweet totally inexcusable.

Since deleting the original tweet, Ellen has started using the appropriate terms to describe black people… And she is now including the hashtag, #blacklivesmatter.

“People have gotten away with murder and that is what’s happening. So, we’ve got to see fairness and justice for all because, right now, this is not a fair world.” She wrapped up by urging people to sign petitions, make donations, and to ultimately make a difference.

And now, her ratings have taken a huge hit.

With previous seasons of the show raking in an average of 4.5 million viewers.

The Ellen Show has had its season-low rating of around 1.5.

And now, fans are convinced that the worst has happened.

Twitter was rife with speculation that The Ellen Show has officially been canceled.

And, though there has been no official confirmation from NBC, Twitter users are convinced that the show is no more.

And that will be it. Forever. (The fact that Ellen has been on house arrest is a different new rumor altogether.)

People have been sharing screenshots and screen recordings of The Ellen Show’s Google description, and the “final episode” has been updated to 26th June 2020. Yikes.

Speaking to The New York Post, producers confirmed that the rumors are actually untrue.

“Telepictures can confirm it’s untrue.”

But right now, it’s not looking too good.

But these reports have not been confirmed or denied as of yet.

But wait until next week, I’m sure it will crank itself up a notch. Keep scrolling if you want to learn more about Ellen and her strange relationship with George W Bush…
