Ellen DeGeneres hasn't had the best of years, what with all the sinister rumors and stories from people who have met her finally coming to light.

But now, as the ratings for The Ellen Show dwindle, reports have been coming in regarding the bleak future of her once successful show...

For years now, rumors about Ellen DeGeneres' true personality have been rife.

Though she has built her on-screen persona around being outspoken against injustice and generous to the needy, many people have claimed that, in real life, she is quite the opposite.

Those who have met the star have claimed that she is nothing more than another power-hungry, self-centered celebrity.

Which is certainly a far cry from the relatable and humble TV host we all know and love... Or we thought we knew and loved.

In recent years, Ellen's image has been questioned more and more.

Cracks have certainly begun to show, and rumors of the somewhat nastier personality behind the famous smiling blonde-haired, blue-eyed face have been intensifying.

Evidently, people who know the host have been growing tired of her flawless persona...

And, for many years now, a number of different former employees have been attempting to expose Ellen for who she truly is.

Her past employees certainly haven't held back.

Her behavior is shocking, and now, more horror stories have surfaced that have had a huge impact on her ratings...

Ellen clearly doesn't care too much for writer's strikes.

This Twitter user came forward with the story about Ellen's head writer, Karen Kilgariff. Karen was under Ellen's employment for 5 years until she took part in a writer's strike. Boom. Fired. And a word was never exchanged between the pair again.

More scandal regarding her treatment of staff...

This woman claims that her friend used to work as a writer on the show and, in the whole 2 years of her employment, Ellen didn't greet her once. In fact, none of the staff were allowed to speak to the star of the show. Apparently.

Staff weren't even allowed in the same room as her.

Wow, we really aren't worthy, are we?

Her veganism has also ruffled a few feathers in the past.

For a colleague's birthday, Twitter user Alison Freer was celebrating with a BBQ outside of the Warner Bros studios where The Ellen Show is filmed. However, Ellen was quick to shut down all the festivities by sending someone over to put a stop to the celebration, all because she doesn't eat meat. Not cool, Ellen.

Ellen doesn't want any of her celebrity buddies to mingle with the common folk.

Ellen has notoriously sucked up to the rich and famous for years, and apparently she wants to keep them all for herself. When Russell Brand wandered into the employee break area to chat with the crew, Ellen apparently got quite irritated and told him that he "doesn't have to interact with these people."

Staff members are reportedly encouraged to cheer her up when she's in a bad mood.

I'm sorry, but there isn't enough money in the world that would ever encourage me to do that. Thank you, next.

Her compassion for animals strikes again.

Though it's great that she cares so much about animals, her sensitivity to the matter doesn't bode well for her employees.

Ellen apparently hates her own fans.

And her own show! Who'd have thought it?

She has no respect for her current staff.

In a recent, weird segment on her talk show, the sixty-two-year-old rated her staff's babies after telling us "my staff [have] a lot of beautiful additions to their families. Clearly they had to be rated." Did they Ellen? Did they really?

And, more recently...

Ellen has come under fire for her handling of the ongoing protests and riots regarding the death of George Floyd.

Like most other celebrities, Ellen tweeted about the ongoing racism in this country, where she demonstrated her support to the Black Lives Matter movement.

But, in doing so, she sparked a whole lot of outrage.

Here's what she wrote.

In a tweet that has since been deleted, Ellen said: "Like so many of you, I am angry and I am sad. People of color in this country have faced injustice for far too long. For things to change, things must change. We must commit ourselves to this change with conviction and with love."

Many people found Ellen's use of the phrase "people of color" rather problematic...

The term "colored" or "people of color" is incredibly dated and somewhat insensitive, and many have quickly criticized the star for using such tone-deaf jargon when talking about such a sensitive topic.

"Black Lives Matter" has never been so important...

And many have found Ellen not referencing it in her tweet totally inexcusable.

But, following on from the backlash, Ellen decided to change her tune.

Since deleting the original tweet, Ellen has started using the appropriate terms to describe black people... And she is now including the hashtag, #blacklivesmatter.

She even addressed the issue in an IG TV video.

"People have gotten away with murder and that is what's happening. So, we've got to see fairness and justice for all because, right now, this is not a fair world." She wrapped up by urging people to sign petitions, make donations, and to ultimately make a difference.

However, her video failed to save her already crumbling reputation...

And now, her ratings have taken a huge hit.

Before the allegations were made this year, Ellen’s ratings were consistently around 2.0 for her daytime slot...

With previous seasons of the show raking in an average of 4.5 million viewers.

But, this month...

The Ellen Show has had its season-low rating of around 1.5.

Her ratings are continuing to decline...

And now, fans are convinced that the worst has happened.

Twitter today is rife with speculation that The Ellen Show has officially been canceled.

And, though there has been no official confirmation from NBC, Twitter users are convinced that the show is no more.

Apparently, the last episode quietly aired yesterday...

And that will be it. Forever. (The fact that Ellen has been on house arrest is a whole new rumor altogether.)

Here's the evidence.

People have been sharing screenshots and screen recordings of The Ellen Show's Google description, and the "final episode" has been updated to 26th June 2020. Which was only 4 days ago.

Okay, none of this is actually set in stone...

But there is definitely something suspicious going on.

Ellen herself is yet to address the rumors...

But, with all the other awful internet reports flying around about the host, we can't expect anything from her any time soon. For more on DeGeneres controversy, keep scrolling to read about her questionable relations with George W. Bush...
