Fans have been left feeling disgusted over a certain joke cracked on the popular sitcom and it's safe to say that it hasn't aged well at all - especially in the current climate.

Many huge names have been boycotted after accusations of racism have risen against them...

Including Walt Disney World and Kellogg's cereal.

And several TV shows have been called out for using racism and blackface as a form of comedy...

Fans have been expressing their disgust over the episode titled "Mixed Blessings" which aired in 1988.

The episode centers around Dorothy's son, Michael, marrying an older Black woman.

Neither Dorothy, played by Bea Arthur, nor the mother of the Black woman, played by Virginia Capers, approved of their relationship.

At one point in the episode, there is a scene where Rose (Betty White) and Blanche (Rue McClanahan) test out new facial masks that resemble blackface.

They then greet the Black woman's family wearing mud masks and say, "This is mud on our faces, we're not really Black."

Although critics have called the scene problematic for years...

The episode has now just been removed from Hulu's streaming service at the request from the series’ distributor, Disney-ABC Domestic Television, Deadline reports.

This is caused a divide in opinion amongst fans...

And it's safe to say that many feel that this "disgusting" episode has been allowed to be on air for way too long.

The sitcom has been accused of having racist ideologies in other episodes, too...

And former fans have slammed it for being "cringeworthy" and "problematic."

But many feel that pulling the episode isn't doing anything for the BLM movement...

And instead, people should be focussing just as much on the innocent Black people being killed every day.

The removal has been deemed as "absurd"...

And there's no denying that huge companies that are run primarily by white people will go to extreme and unnecessary lengths to try and prove that they aren't racist.

The removal of a TV episode will not solve the problem that we have with racism...

And real action needs to be taken soon, rather than focusing on what we watch on television. Keep scrolling to read about why people are boycotting the problematic Aunt Jemima brand...
