Another added: “What piece of crap.”

A third continued: “Marvel/Disney has gone off the deep end once again.”

While a fourth added: “It seems Disney is willing to decimate and destroy anything we remember about Marvel Comics just to push their narrative.”

The Marvel Cinematic Universe seems to churn out smash hit after smash hit — and their popularity seems only set to grow.

But to some, there’s a clear reason why.

The incredible range of different characters. The fact that we get to constantly check in with our favorites makes watching the movies feel like hanging out with some friends.

The biggest Marvel movies are usually those focused on the male characters.

But things are changing …

The new Black Widow movie was more female-focused, however, it was poorly received.

And in Avengers: Endgame the women of the MCU came together to help defeat Thanos — including the introduction of Brie Larson as Captain Marvel.

Finally seeing the MCU give us some girl power has got many viewers hungry for more — including Captain Marvel herself, Brie Larson.

And in an older interview with Variety, Larson had previously teased the fact that there may well be a female-only Marvel movie in our future.

“I will say that a lot of the female cast members from Marvel walked up to Kevin and we were like, ‘We are in this together, we want to do this,'” Larson explained.

“You know, I’m not in charge of the future of Marvel, but it is something that we’re really passionate about and we love.

“I feel like if enough people out in the world talk about how much they want it, maybe it’ll happen,” she said.

Larson also discussed the empowerment she’s found in the MCU.

“To get to be with all of those women for the day and you get this feeling of, like, almost a little bit of naughtiness because it’s a secret and none of us can talk about it — that it felt like we were a part of this like coven working together for this goal.”

“And as many people know, a lot of the time women aren’t working together. It’s kind of been this new breath of fresh air for us in our industry that there’s more female ensemble films, which has allowed us the opportunity to really communicate with one another. So we get so excited and feel so much energy when you get to be around your peers and share stories.”

“I love Carol Danvers so much and I love playing her and I love the way that she interacts with people and the way that she’s grown into herself.”

“But there are so many other new characters that I love, as well, that I’m excited to see and it’s so hard to imagine now where we’re at with these stories. Them existing without any one of those characters. It’s hard to pull that apart.”

And many have already started speculating about who could be a part of the upcoming movie. There are rich picking within the MCU, such as Black Panther’s Shuri.

Plus, there’s Scarlet Witch, who originated as a part of the X-Men, but made an appearance in the most recent Avengers played by Elizabeth Olsen.

But Marvel has already announced their Phase Four slate — with no Larson-led movie in sight.

She did enjoy a role in the upcoming movie, The Marvels.

But after that, her future within the franchise seems unclear…

Leading to a truly heartbreaking interview.

In which she was questioned about her future as Captain Marvel.

“Does anyone want me to do it again?” she questioned.

“I don’t know. I really don’t have the answer to that.”

The interviewer encouraged Larson not the be “modest.”

And it seems as though the internet agrees!

“Of course we want you to do it again,” one fan wrote.

“Brie Larson is perfect for Captain Marvel anytime. Just some people on the internet hate the fact of seeing women as a powerful and important part of Marvel.

“But both #Marvel & #BrieLarson should not focus on those haters. She’s doing a great job. Keep doing it Brie!!!” another added.

“Ngl this is a little heartbreaking,” a third agreed.

“My kids and I love you and would be delighted to see you again in your role as Carol Danvers! You are such an inspiration for girls around the world!” offered another fan.

“I can only imagine how exhausting all the harassment you’ve received over the last several must have been but please know that you still have SO many fans out there and we want you to play Carol for years and years to come! I can’t wait for this movie!”

Well, with this outpouring of support, it’s clear people do want to see more of Larson.

So we hope she sees the amount of support she’s getting, too!

However, The Marvels dropped this weekend, as it seems as though Larson’s worries were founded.

In The Marvels, Brie Larson stars as Carol Danvers/Captain Marvel, Teyonah Parris will play Monica Rambeau, and Iman Vellani portrays Kamala Khan/Ms. Marvel.

And it seems many MCU fans are not happy about seeing a female-led movie.

It opened with a $47 million weekend, making it the least profitable Marvel movie ever.

We think it looks awesome!
