We may be in lockdown, but there hasn’t been a shortage of celebrity scandals to keep us entertained.
From Billie Eilish stripping off to royal controversy, Kardashian drama to that problematic “Imagine” video, keep scrolling for the most savage celebrity clap backs, controversies, and burns of quarantine so far.
Chrissy Tiegen is a woman who stands for absolutely no-nonsense, and this clap back well and truly proved that.
And we must say, she looked absolutely incredible.
But with the internet being the internet, cruel trolls began body-shaming Chrissy, with one even saying that she was “shaped like Sponge Bob.”
Firstly, she replied to a concerned fan with “yeah they’re super mean lmao.”
She then followed her tweet up with this: “Imagine if one day I showed up with hips and an ass. Ooooo you guys would be p***ed then too! I’m happy, John’s happy, we all happy and doing a-okay!”
Pure genius…
Sam Smith has become one of the most successful pop stars of the decade, but their lockdown Instagram post caused quite a stir among fans.
While we’re all in quarantine, many celebrities have dented their careers with their “out of touch” posts.
For the past few weeks, the singer has been on the receiving end of criticism from fans and haters alike and it was all because they decided to post about the fact that they were having a hard time in self-isolation…
A lot of people claimed that Smith was clearly so blinded by their fame and their security that they had no idea what all of us normal folks were struggling to deal with while they complained about being stuck in their million-dollar home.
“It wasn’t [a meltdown]. It was more – it was six weeks ago I posted a picture and everyone else was posting pictures, it was probably bad timing of me, but I use my social media as if it’s just my friends on it.
“I posted with my humor and stuff, but it just didn’t get picked up very well, but I didn’t mean any malice by it at all.”
They added: “Yeah, you know me, I’m always sharing all of my feelings all the time and trying to be as human as possible but sometimes maybe people can read it [wrong] but that wasn’t really meaning it in a malicious or nasty way, I was just trying to be myself.”
So, it seems it was just a case of bad timing, right?
18. Alex Trebek destroys a contestant on Jeopardy!
After President Trump shockingly suggested “injecting disinfectant” as a remedy for the ongoing medical pandemic, it forced the company who owns Dettol and Lysol to issued a warning that urges people against his dangerous recommendation. So, of course, Hillary Clinton couldn’t resist a dig.
“I see the disinfectant where it knocks it out in a minute, one minute,” he said.
“Is there a way we can do something like that, by injection inside or almost a cleaning? Because you see it gets in the lungs, and it does a tremendous number on the lungs, so it’d be interesting to check that.”
People are horrified that a man with such power and influence would offer such reckless and potentially deadly advice to his country.
Dr. Jonathan Spicer tweeted:
“No joke – we had a patient swallow Lysol as a #disinfectant a couple of weeks ago to prevent [the virus] infection. He made it out of the hospital after his gastrectomy…This kind of nonsense is absolutely mind-blowing.”

On the 25th of March 2020, Bindi Irwin and Chandler Powell finally said their “I do’s” and became husband and wife.
And last-minute changes were made due to the ongoing pandemic. Bindi wrote,
“We held a small ceremony and I married my best friend. There are no words to describe the amount of love and light in my heart right now. We’ve planned this beautiful day for nearly a year and had to change everything, as we didn’t have guests at our wedding. This was a very difficult decision but important to keep everyone safe. We wish all of our friends and family could have been there with us, however, it’s lovely that we will be able to share photos and videos.
“We had dad’s picture with his dog Sui blown up on an easel,” she explained, “So mom and Robert were standing right next to dad as we exchanged vows. We had a candle-lighting ceremony for him, and it really felt like he was there with us. It was a lovely moment of peace and happiness.”
Because, despite their ceremony being filmed in Australia, and the Irwin’s being Australian National treasures, the Oceania country will be the last to air the episode… and fans weren’t happy.
Safe to say, the backlash was endless.
Surely Australians should have the right to see their wedding before the rest of the world?
Bindi’s mom, Terri, weighed in on the situation herself, and promised to enquire about the Australian dates.
“We don’t have an answer for that, as @AnimalPlanet is in charge of working through the scheduling for more than 200 countries and territories around the world. We would love to see the wedding special on earlier in Australia. We’ll pose the question and let you know!”
It’s very rare when Piers Morgan isn’t making headlines for his bold and often outrageous comments. Usually, Morgan’s tantrums are targetted towards one person, in particular… take his vendetta against Meghan Markle, for instance.
But this time, he directed his anger at her husband, Prince Harry, instead, in what has been described as a “scathing rant,” leaving fans speechless after witnessing the meltdown.
Tucked away in his Malibu mansion, Prince Harry had been doing British families a service by connecting with them over video call where he expressed happiness about the state of the United Kingdom.
However, a “misinformed” comment during a podcast really tarnished his positive energy.
Well, the royal claimed that everything was being “exaggerated,” and that the effort by people around the country proves that “things are better than we are led to believe” during a podcast called Declassified.
And on Good Morning Britain we saw Piers reach boiling point while discussing the topic…
Piers insisted Harry was “making it all about him again” after “ditching his country” and fleeing to the States.
“I might remind him the world is in a war at the moment with a virus which is destroying lives and the lives of health care workers in this country. What was Harry’s contribution to this debate other than making it all about him again? To claim we’re all exaggerating this war.”
“The brass neck of this guy, who ditched his country…”
“Now lives in a Malibu mansion, that I don’t think he even pays for, lecturing us that we are exaggerating a war. When we have had deaths of eighty health care workers. We are showing people the reality of this and we’re not reliant on a pampered little duke in his Malibu mansion.”
Things then took a very dramatic turn when his co-host Suzanna Reed opted to defend the pair: “Why do you excuse them? You heard what he said. We are exaggerating it. This crisis according to Prince Harry in his Malibu mansion is not as bad.”
Yikes.
Amid the ongoing medical pandemic, millions of us have been required to self-isolate at home… celebrities included.
And, while some of these famous faces have been taking to their social media platforms to send encouraging messages and provide some much-needed entertainment for the rest of us, others have been expressing their anguish (like Sam Smith and Ellen, for instance.)
The comedian is self-isolating at home with his long-term partner, Jane, and his only address by this point had been one Instagram message, which read:
“Stay well. Take vitamins. Wash your hands. Don’t be selfish. Make sure an elderly relative has everything they need. Some are too proud to ask. Be sensible. Drink at home. Everything you love doing you can do in a few weeks. Cheers.”
Speaking to the British tabloid, The Sun, Gervais said:
“After this is over I never want to hear people moaning about the welfare state again, I never want to hear people moaning about nurses again. Or porters.”
Not our privileged celebrities.
“These people are doing fourteen-hour shifts and not complaining. Wearing masks, and being left with sores, after risking their own health and their families’ health selflessly.”
Throughout Johnny Depp and Amber Heard’s relationship, various reports of abuse between the pair continued to surface.
So it came as no shock when Amber filed for divorce in March 2016, just fifteen months after the couple had initially exchanged their “I do”s.
With many news outlets reporting that Amber had cited “irreconcilable differences” while filing the divorce petition. And only a few months into their separation, Amber filed a restraining order against Johnny, claiming that he had previously assaulted her.
Amber had alleged that the actor had hit her on several occasions, and even provided video footage of him flinging a glass of wine across the room in a fit of rage.
And, in 2018, the actress penned an article for The Washington Post where she opened up about her experience with domestic abuse and violence.
But people were confused when Amber retracted her allegations just one day before the hearing was due to be held.
Last year, Johnny filed a $50-million defamation case against Amber, and presented evidence that he was the one on the receiving end of the abuse, not the other way around.
The lawsuit states that all of Amber’s claims were “categorically and demonstrably false,” and listed down incidents of Amber’s alleged abuse since the start of their marriage, including punching and kicking, as well as staging her attacks.
“She hit, punched and kicked me. She also repeatedly and frequently threw objects into my body and head, including heavy bottles, soda cans, burning candles, television remote controls and paint thinner cans, which severely injured me,” his lawsuit read.
Audio obtained by the Daily Mail was released that heard her admitting to attacking Johnny.
“You are such a baby. Grow the f*** up, Johnny. You poke an animal enough, it is eventually, it doesn’t matter how friendly it is, it’s not cool,” Amber can be heard viciously saying.
But his first post quickly became the talk of the town, because fans think he subtly addressed the Amber Heard scandal.
“On a more personal note, thank you all for your kindness, your unwavering support and your strength over these years,” he says during the eight-minute video, which many think is a nod to the Amber situation.
12. Ricky Gervais taking another swipe at celebs following that “Imagine,” video.
Gervais ripped into the stars of Gal Gadot’s “Imagine” video – and while they weren’t whining about isolating in their luxury homes, Gervais thinks they’re just as bad.
We all know that viral clip posted by the Wonder Woman star, in an attempt to lift spirits… Well, Gervais thinks they have ulterior motives. He’s clearly tuned in to the people…
Ricky lay into the stars of the video during an interview on BBC Radio 5 Live, branding them “self-promoting” for taking part in the singalong.
He said: “That Imagine video, it’s not that bad, they’re probably very nice people. It was an awful rendition, but they might have been doing it for good reasons, to help these normal nobodies.”
He said: “There are people in high rise blocks with three kids – I can’t complain, this is why millionaires in their mansions with their gym and going for a swim can’t lecture people.
He clearly has no time for millionaires lecturing us normal people on how to live our lives…
He continued: “They’re going ‘My film’s coming up and I’m not on telly – I need to be in the public eye’, not all of them but some of them.
“You can see in their eye – ‘I could cry at the beauty of my personality, I’m just so beautiful for doing this’ and everyone sees that – we get it.”
Finally, someone’s speaking some truth!
After a troll decided to pick apart Kylie’s post-baby appearance., the beauty mogul was forced to clap back.
“wow she’s so skinny here,” wrote one commenter on an older picture of the beauty mogul, prompting another to respond with: “she was better.”
“My boobs are … 3 times the size, which bothers me. I have stretch marks on my boobs. My stomach isn’t the same, my waist isn’t the same, my butt’s bigger, my thighs [are] bigger,” she said.
“And honestly, I’m finding I have to change my style a little because nothing in my closet fits me from before.”
Just 8 months after Miley and Liam tied the knot, the once Hollywood “it” couple announced that they were calling it quits… Again, and since then, it’s been a saga, to say the least.
And, when discussing the reason that Liam is in such great shape, he said:
“We got him out of Malibu!”
Liam and Miley had a home together in Malibu, California, before their split, and the singer also wrote the song “Malibu” about their relationship.
Miley got well and truly burnt, and after getting wind of the comment…
A source spilled to the entertainment portal, “Miley is aware of the comments but she won’t respond.”
The source went on to explain Miley’s current situation:
“She’s not with Liam anymore and is very happy in her current relationship so as far as she’s concerned it’s just none of her business what Liam or his family says. She already spoke her truth with her music, she’s moved on now. She’s happy and in love and she’s putting her energy into trying to help as much as she can in this current crisis.”
Apparently, Miley no longer wants to be petty.
“Miley‘s focused on the here and now, she isn’t looking backwards. And she doesn’t want to be petty. She wants to move on and hopes that Liam and all the Hemsworths will move on as well.
“Miley‘s focus is her family, her dogs, her relationship with Cody and her Instagram show that all this week has been about talking to people who are making a difference in the world. Netflix’s Tiger King took the internet by storm, but one of the biggest conspiracy theories to come out of it was that Jeff Lowe was Carole Baskin’s ex-husband – no, not the one who went missing (or was murdered and fed to the tigers, depending on who you ask), but her first husband, who she said was abusive.
The theory was shared to Facebook, with one fan writing:
“Jeff is Carole’s abusive first husband who she paid off to go take Joe down. She rented a mansion and that caw to draw him in.
“Jeff and (James Garretson) even admit they directed Joe to kill Carole. When Joe didn’t do it, they needed him to pay, he didn’t. So Jeff sent his friend and he ‘chickened out’ on purpose.”
“Carole then paid them all off. All the convicts around him, except (Kelci Saffery) and (John Reinke). Too bad I wasn’t the police investigator, I would of definitely caught this bull****.”
“Jeff even told the cops about the Tiger skulls, because they didn’t have enough to keep him otherwise on the bogs ‘killing plot’.”
And soon enough, Jeff himself spoke out about the rumors, and his response was pretty bizarre.
A fan questioned Lowe on his thoughts on the theory, asking:
“There’s a conspiracy all over the internet this week that you were Carole Baskins’ first husband. Have you seen the picture comparison and what’s your take on this? She doesn’t seem like your type!”
He replied:
“You’re a brilliant man and she is not my type. If I was stuck on a deserted island with her, I would f*** a coconut. I’ve seen the side by side pictures. It looks more like John and Joe’s love child.”
Ouch.
The internet was left slightly confused when it was revealed that Demi Moore was lockdown-ing with not only her 3 kids and their partners, but with her ex, Bruce Willis.
Of course, its natural she’ll want to be with her kids, but people couldn’t understand why Bruce wasn’t quarantining with his current wife, Emma Hemming.
And from the looks on everyone’s faces, it has formed an incredibly happy family environment.
It must be hard having your husband choose to lockdown with his ex.
But, shockingly, Emma commented on the family photo featuring both Demi and Bruce, writing: “Not many can pull that color off! Lookin good squad.”
So, she seemed to be cool with it.
A source told People: “Demi and Emma are close, and all three get on great as a big blended family. There are no issues at all. Emma needed to stay in L.A. with the young kids.”
“Demi and Bruce have been best friends for years.
“They are really close.”
Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman have a “long-standing feud,” but in reality they are best pals who simply like to troll each other once in a while.
In fact, they constantly roast each other, the way only real buds can, and it seems pretty fundamental to their friendship.

Between calling it the “Chinese virus” and telling people to inject themselves with disinfectant, it’s safe to say that Trump hasn’t exactly been praised for his handling of the ongoing medical crisis.
And Barack Obama was one of the long list of people who took a swipe at him for it.
“Speak the truth. Speak it clearly. Speak it with compassion,” he said. “Speak it with empathy for what folks are going through.”
It doesn’t take a genius to see that this is definitely one of Trump’s downfalls…
“The biggest mistake any [of] us can make in these situations is to misinform, particularly when we’re requiring people to make sacrifices and take actions that might not be their natural inclination.”
Burn.
Considering Obama rarely ever weighs into the work of other presidents – mostly using his Twitter account to praise frontline workers and share advice from public health experts, this is a big deal.
“We’ve seen all too terribly the consequences of those who denied warnings of a pandemic,” he wrote, without directly naming the president.
“We can’t afford any more consequences of climate denial. All of us, especially young people, have to demand better of our government at every level and vote this fall,” he added, linking to an article below announcing the rollback of environmental mileage standards put in place by the former president 8 years ago.
4. Kourtney Kardashian breaks her silence after quitting Keeping up With the Kardashians.
We all know about that shell shocking fight that Kourtney and Kim had on air during a recent episode of the show, and it seems that Kourtney finally snapped – announcing that she was quitting the hit reality series.
In the dramatic clip, Kim and Kourtney end up getting physical with each other, and as things begin to get heated, Kim throws a punch at her sister.
Kim even later revealed that production on the show had to be shut down temporarily following the heated fight.
After continuous arguments with Kim, Kourtney decided enough was enough and it was time to remove herself from the toxicity of the reality show.
On one of her posts, a fan commented, “Kourtney just needs to quit the damn show! I’m over her not wanting to film,” to which Kourtney replied swiftly with, “I did. Bye.”
And on another episode of KUWTK…
Kourtney was heard saying, “I don’t like being a celebrity… I’m taking a break from the show. Now I can focus on me and plan my time of being a mum.”
She then told the camera, “I want to be fulfilled and happy – life is too short.”
Piers has always made his thoughts on Meghan quite clear, although at one point the pair were actually friends.
But, when she stopped replying to his calls, Piers grew to become rather bitter and has continuously blasted Meghan, both in his columns and live on air on his breakfast show, Good Morning Britain.
And has continuously blamed her for “tearing apart the royal family.”
Following the announcement, Piers took to twitter where he emphasized that no one really cares about what they are up to because we have bigger things to be worrying about.
This British user wrote: “There’s a time and a place to make announcements and now really isn’t the time, what would have been nice is a message of support to a country they say to love and best wishes to our PM.”
The eighteen-year-old music sensation is known for being a quirky character with an out-there fashion sense, but, when she bared some skin during a video, the response was huge.
Her choices in fashion – which strongly consist of baggy, oversized clothes – are picked to protect herself from her global audience body-shaming her and judging her on her natural appearance.
“Nobody can have an opinion because they haven’t seen what’s underneath. Nobody can be like, ‘she’s slim-thick,’ ‘she’s not slim-thick,’ ‘she’s got a flat a**,’ ‘she’s got a fat a**.’ No one can say any of that because they don’t know,” she explained in an interview last year.
Despite the fact you can only see the top of Billie’s shoulders, many people slammed her online calling her all sorts of crude names, including a ‘wh*re’…
“It was trending. There were comments like, ‘I don’t like her anymore because as soon as she turns eighteen she’s a w***e.’ Like, dude. I can’t win.
“I saw comments like, ‘How dare she talk about not wanting to be sexualized and wear this?!'”
“If I wore a dress to something, I would be hated for it.
“People would be like, ‘You’ve changed, how dare you do what you’ve always rebelled against?’ I’m like, ‘I’m not rebelling against anything, really.’ I can’t stress it enough. I’m just wearing what I wanna wear.”
The video was showcased during the interlude of her debut show and showed Billie slowly taking off her clothes alongside a powerful message voiced by the singer.
And, narrating the video, Billie’s voice can be heard questioning everyone who has ever body-shamed her.
Her narration starts by saying:
“You have opinions about my opinions, about my music, about my clothes, about my body.”
“Some people hate what I wear, some people praise it, some people use it to shame others, some people use it to shame me — but I feel you watching. Always, and nothing I do goes unseen, so while I feel your stares, your disapproval or your sigh of relief, if I lived by them, I’d never be able to move.”
“Would you like me to be smaller? Weaker? Softer? Taller? Would you like me to be quiet? Do my shoulders provoke you? Does my chest? Am I my stomach? My hips?”
But, of course, her decision wasn’t without the risk of backlash, and while she received a ton of praise for the move, others weren’t so impressed and claimed that, because of her showing her shoulders, stomach, and chest, they had ultimately “lost respect for her.”
Yep, really.
