Tom Hanks is one of a kind and there really is no point in trying to compare his level of amazingness with other actors. They just won't hold up.

His repertoire is unlike any other.

His talent when it comes to playing noteworthy roles and telling unique stories has marked him as a true legend on the screen.

He's absolutely timeless.

Well, he's sixty-two years old. But he cannot be stopped.

Just to name a few.

He's been in some of the most memorable movies for the past few decades. I don't think he's ever been in a role that he hasn't crushed.

If you haven't seen this movie, you need to stop everything you're doing and watch it. It's the definition of a classic.

Forest Gump taught us all how important it is to run.

It was a love story like nothing else of its time. If you didn't cry in this movie, then you have insane will power because this one is an emotional roller coaster.

Hanks swept us off our feet and was an instant '90s heartthrob. I was even tempted to start a fan club based on this movie.

Sleepless in Seattle was a classic romantic comedy.

Crying for real just thinking about this movie. Tom Hanks just knows how to steal a heart.

He voiced our childhood in Toy Story.

I will never let go of this movie. Woody and Buzz had what seems like the first animated bromance and no matter your age now, it will always be a beloved story, from the first to the fourth.

Hopefully, you understand how amazing Tom Hanks is.

That was just a brief synopsis of the epic career that Tom Hanks has had, and it feels like there is no stopping this man and his hits.

Where there's a genius movie script, there's Hanks.

It feels like scriptwriters purposefully pen Tom Hanks into their movies because he so perfectly fits every role he has ever played.

Mr. Rogers is another absolutely beloved television man.

Growing up and watching Mister Rogers' Neighborhood taught kids about empathy, kindness, and joy. It was the purest television show for kids to watch and left an everlasting impact on the those who watched.

It had a long run.

The show ended in 2001, after thirty-one amazing and joyful seasons. Every episode highlighted the importance of children and told stories that focused on inclusion and sensitivity towards difficult subjects.

Then came the most beautiful documentary ever.

In June 2018, a documentary was released about Mr. Rogers' TV show called Won't You Be My Neighbor? and it stole the hearts of anyone who watched it.

Even the trailer will make you cry.

This documentary focused on the radical career of Fred Rogers and how his television show was making waves in social issues and in highlighting the individualism and intelligence of children.

But the people weren't satisfied.

The obsession for Mr. Rogers grew exponentially after that documentary was released, and now all of our desires to know more about Fred's life are finally going to be satisfied with a brand new movie coming out, combining two of our favorite men.

Get ready for A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood.

Photos were recently released and for the first time, the public got to see the wonderful resemblance of Tom Hanks dressed as Fred Rogers.

Anyone else feeling emotional?

Here's one of the first photos released of Hanks filming for the epic role of Fred Rogers and the internet absolutely adored it.

The resemblance is unbelievable.

That red sweater looks like it was made for Tom Hanks. Those khakis? Perfect fit. Even the casual sneakers just sent me over the edge. It's almost like they could have been twins.

I really cannot wait to see this.

What did we do to deserve such greatness? This is a gift that will cure the inevitable darkness of this world.

He's clearly thriving.

With Tom recently gravitating towards playing real-life roles, like Walt Disney Saving Mr. Banks and Tom Sully in Sully, this might have the potential to be one of his best yet.

It's going to be a new perspective of Mr. Rogers.

The documentary released in 2018 focused primarily on his TV show, but A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood" is centered around Fred's relationship with journalist and friend Tom Junod.

Mr. Rogers can melt a heart of stone.

Told from Junod's perspective, it shows how the journalist was assigned to write a story on Mr. Rogers. Junod was once a true cynic whose life was forever changed for the better when he met and developed a deep relationship with Fred Rogers.

Marielle Heller, known for directing the iconic film Can You Ever Forgive Me? featuring Melissa McCarthy, is taking on this project and we can't wait to support more female-directed films.

Marielle is a powerhouse director with great connections.

"Our dream cast has always been Tom Hanks," Marielle explained in regards to initially reading the script of A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood.  It seems like it was all meant to be.

It's staying pretty true to his story.

The filming is set in Pennsylvania, which is where Won't You Be My Neighbor? was initially filmed and where Mr. Rogers lived for most of his life.

It's not exactly a biopic.

The movie is being coined as sort of a biopic, or a biographical film, but Tom Hanks disagrees. "It's really not," Hanks said in regards towards it being labeled a biopic. "It’s a movie that’s largely focused on a reporter and [Mr. Rogers’] relationship to his life, and how [the reporter’s] whole world changes when coming in contact with Fred Rogers."

We are counting down the days.

The movie is set to be released on November 22, 2019 and it really cannot come any quicker.

It's a guaranteed classic.

If this movie doesn't win some sort of award, I, along with the entire internet, will be livid.

We've got so much to look forward to!

Not to be dramatic, but just the picture of Tom Hanks dressed as Mr. Rogers changed my life for the better.

It's got us all up in our feelings.

Happy tears. This is the definition of happy tears.

It's really a celebration of his life.

Fred Rogers passed away in 2003 at the age of seventy-five. He would have turned ninety-three on March 20, so this wonderful news could not have come at a better time.

Hanks seems pretty excited.

I don't think he ever takes a role he doesn't really believe in and it feels like a truly perfect fit for the legend Tom Hanks.

The whole world seems entirely enthralled.

This was the good news we all needed lately and we are communally celebrating this new movie, long before its release.

We just can't wait for November.

We are so close, yet so far away, to watching one of the best movies to ever be created, and we haven't even seen a trailer yet. Share the great news with your friends and family and prepare for one of the most joyful experiences of your whole life.

And now Tom Hanks has revealed the moment he knew he wanted the role.

And yes, it's as adorable as you'd imagine. He claims he wasn't a Mr. Rogers superfan in his youth, saying "I was too busy watching Rocky and Bullwinkle, and stuff like that."

But that all changed when his friends emailed him a clip of the show.

The clip from a 1981 episode of Mister Rogers’ Neighborhood featured Rogers and a young boy in a wheelchair named Jeffrey Erlanger. The tenderness of the interaction is what converted Hanks.

Here's the clip.

"Fred is just so wonderfully gentle and present [with] someone who normally would make [most people] feel uncomfortable," Hanks told Vanity Fair. "What do you say to somebody who will spend their life in a wheelchair? He said, ‘Jeff, do you ever have days when you’re feeling sad?’ He says, ‘Well, yeah, sure Mister Rogers. Some days…but not today.’"

"It made me bawl my eyes out."

"It was just so amazing. It’s one of the reasons why I’m in the movie." We guess we owe Hanks' mysterious friend a big thank you!
